Remember the meme of "Republicans want to take contraception away from women" in the carefully orchestrated attack on the Pubbie candidates at the beginning of the year? Well, here's the next one, carefully coordinated with all Dems running for Congress: loans students took out freely are "unfair" and "only enrich the fat cat Republicans." Obama is desperate to win-back the stupid, uneducated college boobs who helped him take the White House with "Hope and Change" ringing in their heads. Well, they got their change: they have no jobs and owe a lot of money for their degrees in Social Justice and Victims' Studies. The total is close to one trillion dollars (sound familiar?) Obama's buying the yound boob vote again.
You heard it here first.

Best way the government can help students get out from under a lot of Student Loans is to stop co-signing for them.
To: pabianice
The cost of higher education is crazy. When the government started footing the bill, the prices went up to $30-$40,000 a year. It’s nuts.

The head regent of the Calif state university/college system is advocating for FREE education past 12th grade.
Sure-—let the guy who runs his own business & never got beyond 11th grade because of a death of his dad foot the bill for these whiners.
To: pabianice
Who put a gun to their head forcing them to sign up for those loans? They didn’t think they had to pay them back? Now they want taxpayers to foot the bill? If you can’t pay tuition, don’t go and then come out with a degree in Medieval History or Classical Studies with a loan of $100,000 or so???

The government is going to wipe out my mortgage, wipe out my student loans and give me free health care.
So basically the government funds (and controls) housing, education and health care.
But it’s not socialism, just remember, it’s not socialism.

1. Signing up for a student loan is voluntary.
2. Whatever the feds subsidize will get even more expensive.
3. Free for you is not free for me.

Students need to stop crawling under the burden of student loans.
There are a _lot_ of cheaper options available than “what school do you _want_ to go to? ok, sign here.”

Stop offering the loans.
She is TARP and headed the Bank Of America and wall street bailouts for Obama.

It’s time the ‘RATS do something about tuition. The “students” need the ‘RATS to pass tuition reform now. Greedy BIG academia is ripping the “students” off with their outrageous tuition rates. It has got to stop.

It is a huge, huge problem. College costs are going through the roof and students are being urged to work at non-profit organizations and change the world. Studying practical subjects and getting a job is not a positive value in contemporary academia.
Universities are enabled by the nationalization of the student loan program. The best thing would for the government to scale back its lending. This is another liberal/conservative divide.

The Greek model of bankruptcy. How convenient. Soon there will be no money nor volunteers to run the voting booths except black panthers.
