(Reuters) - Musician and gun-rights advocate Ted Nugent said on Thursday he had a positive meeting with U.S. Secret Service agents investigating his recent criticism of President Barack Obama, and the agency confirmed the issue had been resolved.
Nugent, who told NRA supporters in St. Louis last week that he would be "dead or in jail" next year if Obama was reelected, said in a statement that he had "met with two fine, professional Secret Service agents" in Oklahoma.
"Good, solid, professional meeting concluding that I have never made any threats of violence towards anyone. The meeting could not have gone better," the 63-year-old singer and guitarist said. He was due to perform a concert in Ardmore, Oklahoma on Thursday.

Anyway, Ted, you're on surveillance.
It's a good bet their on your side, but you're on surveillance.
Could they have picked a more unflattering photo?
I am surprised he is supporting Romney.
I have never heard of him hiring hookers. Despite what he does for a living, he is devoted to his family.
But in the meanwhile the dumbkopfs who run entertainment at Ft Knox cancelled his performance there. How to punish the troops on the altar of political correctness run amok.
Well, we know he despises BHO and what he’s doing to the country, so I think Ted’s mistakenly convinced that Mittens has the best chance of defeating him. A lot of people have that wrong (imo) idea. I also think a lot of folks are listening to MR’s rhetoric that panders to conservatives instead of delving into his history and record.
It’s unfortunate, because Ted’s a patriot.
It's either M.R. or B.O.
The show will feature REO Speedwagon (Roll With The Changes and othe hits), Styz (Chi area hit band of the 80's) and Uncle Ted. Our youngest daughter is going and I want to go so bad I can taste it. But mobility issues makes it impossible for me. Thing is my wife wants to see REO too. 'Roll With The Changes' was a HUGH hit in the Chi area. And the Guitar Solo still gives me the chills. (best pure Rock song maybe ever IMO)
I also told our daughter to 'maybe expect' some comments from The Nuge that'll sound like I was talking ;-)
I also said it'll be a Gibson Les Paul orgy on stage. She didn't have a clue about that comment. ;-)

Gonzo....... paging FReeper Gonzo
Nugent reported rather than providing a live stream of the encounter.
I have no faith in Obamas selected Secret Service followers.
To me they are enforcers of an usurper.
Clean up your act Washington DC, America has no more trust in you, you don’t scare us, you only steel our resolve.
So did Reagan. I still admire them both.
That’s how it’s looking, though I ‘m still supporting Newt. But however it turns out, ABO. That’s what the Nuge is thinking, I imagine.
They probably told him they don’t respect the “one” either.
Ted called Debbie Wasserman Schultz a “brain dead Mao fan”. Haha. He believes she is the one who wanted him investigated.
Did he play a little Wango tango or maybe Free For All?

I don’t see how it can possibly be a crime to speak threatening against the president. Has the 1st amendment been suspended, has congress passed a law abridging our freedom of speech?
People seem to want to go crazy and walk all over everyones rights in the name of “protecting the president”. But who is the president? who is Every president but a man sworn to uphold our constitution and in doing so help preserve our rights?
Seriously at some point every man who chooses to run for the office of president has to assume the risks inherit in that act as with every other act.
If the president is unwilling to assume that personal responsibly in the interest of respecting and preserving our liberty I see not how he can possibly be expected to lead a free people in preserving & defending that freedom.
So when those @ssholes aren't scamming prostitutes out of 47 dollars, they are investigating Americans for being concerned about our National Security?
Do I have that right?
