When Washington Post journalist Elizabeth Flock wrote a post last year falsely accusing Mitt Romney of using a Ku Klux Klan slogan in his campaign speech, she was not fired or disciplined.
But when Flock stole from the work of another mainstream organization and did not properly attribute, she abruptly resigned from the Washington Post conveniently and coincidentally before another editors note went up on her post that described it as having serious factual errors and a significant ethical lapse.
Flock told AFP that she resigned on Friday before the Post published a second editor's note about her work and that she was not pressured to quit. A Washington Post spokesman said they would not comment on personnel matters.

They will call him Mohammmmmmad.
Isn’t it grand that the dems want to hang their foes with alleged ties to KKK?
When actually KKK was a bunch of spineless democrat weenies hiding their identities under sheets?
Wasn’t that long ago when Clinton gave that nice eulogy to Robert Byrd.
This would be a mighty fine time to delve into some nice history lessons regarding the KKK. Today’s youth actually believe they were republicans.

But when Flock stole from the work of another mainstream organization and did not properly attribute, she abruptly "resigned"...
Even if the phrase was used by the racist pigs in the KKK, I don’t see anything insensitive by him ripping it from them. “Keep America American” merely means to fight the growing multiculturalism and diminishing of our culture in favor of something out of united colors of benetton, America has a distinct culture that is worth preserving, and we should not have to apologize. also anglo-saxon democracy is what has set much of the world free, not the liberal communist rattrap seeking to turn the shining city on a hill into a socialist hellhole...
What about flukorum? It’s been a loooong time ago but I did pass the Latin regents.
The difference is in the ‘k’.

As big city newspapers go through financial implosion their older employees retire early and take buyouts. These are replaced by young, bargain basement “reporters” and 10-cents-a-line “contributors.” These “journalists” are highly vulnerable to bribery.
Flukorum is indeed the genitive plural form of a feminine noun. If one had a pet fluke, flukorum would be like "the fluke's fat hips".
I assumed it was a verb, so: I fluke, you fluke, she flukes, we fluke, you all fluke, and they all fluke all the time mostly.
No disagreement on the problem of replacing long-term experienced reporters with young people at lower pay levels. That would have happened to me if I had not resigned voluntarily from a prior newspaper which fired its publisher who had spent his entire adult life with the newspaper company. The new management replaced virtually the entire staff with people who had little if any prior experience and, in a number of cases, minimal education in the field.
However, at the level of the Washington Post, people being hired are likely to be either the very best recent graduates of journalism schools who have interned there or people who have moved up from smaller newspapers. For the Post's people, getting hired is a huge promotion in professional status and likely though not necessarily in pay as well.
I don't see bribery as being a problem for reporters at the national level. At lower levels, maybe, but more likely issues of conflicts of interest and incompetence.
There's more than one way to “bribe” somebody. Money won't work with anybody with any level of ethics, but offering or withdrawing access, friendship, and other information can accomplish the same thing.
LOL! You win!
