Thank you, Lauren, for preparing the Canteen for today’s activities.
I want to take a moment to honor a great-uncle
(by marriage) who recently passed
Holis Irvin Parker, 92,
of Fredericksburg passed away
Wednesday, April 11, 2012, at Mary Washington Hospital.
Mr. Parker served in the 1st Marine Division from 1942 to 1946.
He earned two Purple Hearts in Peleliu,
but did not receive them until 1997 at Marine Corps Base Quantico.
