Will Øbama ever learn anything?

Let's see: Newsweek deified him in 2008, and was declared the "smartest" president ever by historian Michael Beschloss.

It appears that those muslim Indonesian schools leave a lot to be desired, and affirmative action promotions from the Ivy League, do not instill knowledge and certainly not wisdom.

I don’t know why verbal gaffes are considered so newsworthy. Everyone has them. With all the pernicious acts of this administration, like intentionally driving up the price of energy and spending the country into oblivion, does it really matter if the president said, “Maldives” or “Malvinas?”

Do the people on the Malvinas speak Maldivian?

Obama, who referred to the "Maldives" instead of the "Malvinas" when using the name Latin Americans give to the disputed islands (Falkland Islands).
I just went to Google Earth and measured the distances between them. Barry just made a common mistake, that's all. The Falkland Islands, aka: Malvinas, and Maldive Islands are only 8,183 Miles apart.

See. Anyone could do it.

It's most peculiar that he should make this geographical gaffe when he knows very well that he can see the Maldives from his White House front porch every morning.

You guys JUST do not get it. You are trying to make a big deal out of something silly! What's really important is which of the islands would be a better vacation spot for MEEchelle...

It’s going to be so satisfying when some brave soul exposes the Obamaloon’s sorry academic record for what it really is.

We all know he’s a vapid dork (even dorkier than RINOmney), and that he got into all those schools through crooked associates and slimeball academics.

Will Øbama ever learn anything?

Viewed with a little sympathy, it easy to see that Obama was afflicted with a difficult childhood, given his parents. As an adolescent and young man, he apparently struggled to understand his place in the world, to establish an identity. It is understandable that he would turn inward and retreat into intellectual fantasies like socialism, and racial politics, it happens. Healthier intellects embrace and engage the world around them, his intellectual training and habits have built up barriers to sheild him from it.

One can have sympathy for a person so afflicted, but you would have to be out of your mind to want him to lead your country. He may be the most intellectually, philosophically, and experientially least qualified president in our nation's history. It could be worse.

Somebody really needs to hack the teleprompter. I have this vision of that scene from “Anchorman.”

I would bet Zero could repeat that scene till it lost its humor.

He went to Harvard and Columbia? Give me a break!

I know seventh graders who would not have made this mistake.

It's been apparent for a long time that “O” can't read and has never had a grasp of history..... US history or any other history.

Also, you can be sure that cold, hard facts are incidental to a person whose intellect is such a product of emotion/entirely subject to emotion rather than substance.

This should answer those Freepers who can't see why the UK wants to keep the Falkland Islands.

Who would want to give them up?

The Maldives have recently gone hardcore islamist. No wonder they are close to his heart and mind.
