Wither the Tea Party?
A major force in the 2010 midterm elections, the movement has stalled in public popularity, its support well below a majority and decidedly lukewarm. And Americans by a broad 23-point margin say the more they hear about the Tea Party movement, the less they like it, rather than liking it more.
That negative buzz has worsened from a 9-point gap in an ABC News/Washington Post poll as the movement was gathering speed two years ago. And its avenues for resurgence may be limited: Interest in learning more about Tea Party is down 7 points from spring 2010....
These views have grown more negative particularly among young adults, seniors, women, moderates and people in the $50,000 to $100,000 income range, all with 10- to 17-point increases in like it less responses as they hear more about the Tea Party movement....

Two years ago, young adults were polled? Or are these people who were high school students the last time the poll was taken so they represent the current “young” demographic but may not have changed their position?
The DNCMedia tried to pretend that Michael Dukakis had a Massachusetts Miracle and was polling competitively against GHW Bush.
And ABC just released a poll claiming that journalism is the most ethical and respected profession in the US. Right.
What the dependents of the debt regime think is irrelevant. Before long, it will be they, who have no money or time for politics.
No vote! Starve the B.!
Many of us have taken active roles in our community governments now, sort of like ACORN, only not evil like ACORN.
Come November 6th, you'll know where we are.
They so badly want to define and label the Tea Party. If Alynski can’t label it, it can’t isolate, immobilize it, target it and destroy it.
The fact that the Tea Party is an idea not a group of people is beyond the grasp of mouth breathing bumper sticker reading Democrats.
The tea party needs to have a convention.
Let’s see who fills that giant void.
Serious, the Tea Party needs a candidate!
The Tea Party is the second party!!
This should be the theme to build on.
There is a TEA party in my small home town on April 28 and we are expecting several thousand.
If I still have access to FR I'll give a report as to how many folks attended.
MSM’s propaganda is not so subtle to those of us suspicious of their progressive intent, but remains subtle so as to appear objective to the mass of “undecideds”.
Nobama’s propaganda is now not subtle, because he and the left see their few gains as in danger of reversal and the unlikelyhood they will be continuing beyond 2012.
The links I have don’t work. They were pulled from FR year ago as everything beyond a certain age is not longer on the server. Good luck finding them on the internet. I may have copies of one or two of them I will have to look around.
One was called “The Fifth Estate”, and another “Slip Sliding Away”.

Thanks for the response, I'll see if I can find them on the web.
If you get a chance, watch the link I sent you, it's worthwhile though probably preaching to the choir.
Thanks again ;)
“Because the movement was infiltrated just like everything else. It now does not stand for anything out of the norm. Yes there might be a few small groups here and there that are genuine, but they are over shadowed by the big players”.
Where I live the ideals of the Taxed Enough Already folks is a bit dormant...but we’re here. I never thought of the movement as an organized entity. IMHO those in the media or those in politics who tried to pretend there was any organization surrounding the movement were either wrong or they were trying to co-opt the mantle. I don’t trust media and I don’t trust most politicians....R’s or D’s.
I do think people are tired of the yelling and screaming by pol’s on both sides. I know I’m tired of it. But I also believe...this is the lull before the storm. I gotta feeling it’s going to get much nosier after Labor Day. Until then...I think it’s just drip, drip, drip of Romney this and Obama that. Blech.
There are two different links to a video in that post. The account hosting the video has been pulled. So I could not watch it.
Grrr, I know DjMacWow has a good link for "Grinding America Down"
DJ, would you be so kind as to ping it to Revel?
Yeeeoooooowwwwwza, that was fast.

Mmmmm, mmmmm, mmmmmmm!
You’re welcome! :-)
