If you believe we elect Obama or Romney because both options stink and the result will still be the same, you seriously underestimate the despicable and hate filled evil Obama has planned for us my friend.

You’re exactly right.

A lot of the Romney haters on FR will vote for him. They don’t have the guts to admit it.

Okay, maybe a better metaphor would be falling off a cliff.

It doesn't matter if it's a 500-foot drop (Romney) or a 1000-foot drop (Obama), you'll still go splat when you hit the bottom.

Obama's intentions for our nation might be more malicious than Romney's, but either option will have a severe impact upon us.

But why give ourselves only those 2 options, when we could choose Newt Gingrich? Romney is not the candidate yet, and if primary voters would galvanize behind Newt we could save ourselves from having to choose between E. coli and salmonella, as somebody else said. Romney is not inevitable unless we make him inevitable. But this is a guy who uses government power to coerce people into performing abortions against their will, their conscience, and against their religious liberty. How can he be inevitable while we are still alive and able to speak sense to each other?

I think much of the argument can be summed up as: One side thinks the other underestimates how bad Romney would be, and one side thinks the other underestimates how bad Obama would be.

No. I do not underestimate Obama. I believe you overestimate Romney.

If Romney gets in he will never get any wild, liberal legislatiion thru Congress. in four years we will have the opportunity to vote him out and put someone more to our liking in. If Zero is re-elected again, and we are lucky enough to still have elections, we will be back in the same boat we are now in now. We must get rid of this 4 yr old cancer.
