There's a chance the Republic might survive 500', but not 1000'. But, actually, the ratio is much worse than 1 to 2.

In any case, it's not over. Newt's still in the race. Willard could still fail to win on the first ballot. The delegates could still come to their senses and nominate Newt (or anybody but Mittens).
