That is hard to imagine coming out of the sky.
Been following The Weather Channel all night.
The updrafts and inflow circulations have to be tremendous to produce that size hail.

Right now I’m watching local coverage and the weatherman on WIBW Topeka reported that. I can’t even imagine the damage that would do. The old Tornado Watch was to expire in about 30 minutes but has been extended.

I've seen it. Goes right through some roofs.

I hope and pray that you stay OK.
Stay alert tonight and according to them, it may be as bad tomorrow.

Thank you. Tomorrow morning early will still be bad from what I’m hearing.

I’ve seen ping pong ball size and that was bad enough on cars and windows, just can’t imagine grapefruit size.

The grapefruit/softball size variety hit here some years ago. Totaled all four vehicles on our place. Destroyed every roof and north-facing window in our town. It was sureal.

I’m 100 miles east of there. I wouldn’t ever want to be driving and see something like that.

I saw it myself in the New Palestine, Indiana Tornado, back in 19080/81(?). I was at a buddy’s house just three miles south.

Right through the roof, right through the plaster ceilings.
Destroyed my car, even though it was under a tree.

Up here in NW IA we’ve still got a few cells moving either across the top of us or just south of us.

Looks like we dodged the worst stuff for the second time in a day though.

Gonna have to hit the sack pretty soon here. Still have lots of lightning and thunder, but it looks like things are going to calm down.

I remember Rushville, Indiana suffered major damage from a tornado around 1980. I wonder if it was the same storm?

I’ve been watching tornado chasers tonight. The guys I was watching were in a tornado...I only came onto their live streaming, by coincidence, immediately after it happened. Spent the next couple of hours monitoring the towns they were driving through. It’s been real bad tonight apparently. I heard a town (Kansas or Oklahoma...don’t remember), was “wiped out”. That happened maybe a couple hours ago.

Heard tomorrow’s to be bad too.

This is just awful for all these people.
