*Still Bill Trailer*
William Harrison "Bill" Withers, Jr. (born July 4, 1938) is an American singer-songwriter and musician who performed and recorded from 1970 until 1985. He is well known for songs like "Lean on Me", "Ain't No Sunshine", "Use Me", "Just the Two of Us", "Lovely Day", and "Grandma's Hands".
Withers was born the youngest of six children in the small coal-mining town of Slab Fork, West Virginia. Raised in nearby Beckley, West Virginia, Withers was twelve years old when his father died. He enlisted with the United States Navy at age eighteen and served for nine years, during which time he became interested in singing and writing songs. Soon after his discharge from the Navy in 1965, he relocated to Los Angeles in 1967 for a musical career.
Withers worked as an assembler for several different companies, including Douglas Aircraft Corporation, while recording demo tapes with his own money, shopping them around and performing in clubs at night. When he debuted with the song "Ain't No Sunshine" he refused to resign his job because of his belief that the music business was a fickle industry and that he was still a novice compared to other acts.
Enjoy the variety of musical selections that the Canteen Deejays provide throughout the thread. Please ping any DJ with your requests for the Troops!
All music is removed on Monday. Thanks to all the DeeJay's for their time & effort providing entertainment for the Troops!

I sure will. Our area is in a Moderate Risk for severe t-storms. The High Risk runs from OKC up to the North.
It's my understanding that parts of Kansas are under Tonrado Warnings right now. Really something to watch.

Good morning/afternoon, Arrowhead...((HUGS))
I’ve been watching the Weather Channel and wondering about our Oklahoma and Kansas FRiends.
Hope you get GOOD rain, no damaging hail, and no tornadoes.
Are your vehicles under cover?

I was noticing that Oklahoma and Kansas were both in for some rough weather. Hope it stays up there and misses us. We need the rain, but not hail or tornadoes.

Thanks, Es, for spinning tunes for the troops...((HUGS))
How are you and your umbrella doing? How are the boys and your grand babies?
I’m sitting at the hospital waiting for my Dad’s blood check. He was WAY low last week, so they adjusted his meds and we are back this week.

My pleasure Ma.
My umbrella is getting tired and it’s not even the rainy season yet! My boys are doing okay and the grand babies are beautiful.....What do you mean his blood was low, you mean his blood pressure? Or was it his blood count (red blood cells)? I hope he gets good results.
*Smooches and hugs*
