Is it time to go out an buy a “Red Cap”?
TANSTAAFL!
"This is the tendency of all human governments. A departure from principle becomes a precedent for a second; that second for a third; and so on, till the bulk of society is reduced to mere automatons of misery, to have no sensibilities left but for sinning and suffering..."
-- Thomas Jefferson
No he's real. He's just the DNC #2 pick.
We need a TEA party coalition/representation in Tampa.
Thanks, Jim. My vote and my continued monetary support only for the cause of liberty and our conservative values. Conservative candidates only! No Romney!
Thank you Prisoner6.
We have also sent more money to Newt. Might be the best investment we’ll ever make. And I took our early ballots to the election commission office yesterday. And, like you, we are praying.
REALLY?? Just who is going to make us do that?
I did what th Elites wanted in the last election & some before that.
If I do it again - I need to plan on doing it for the next election!!
I'm in for Newt & they can like it or lump it.
You have to admit it is rather delicious to think about Obama being out Alinsky-ied by Romney!!
Thank you KittenClaws. IMO, great decisions. (obviously... ;-) )
Dude, you’re monumental. ®
No offense taken and yes she was kidding. She, btw, is also very conservative but hear’s my daily ranting and made the comment as a joke.
We, unlike liberals can make fun of ourselves.
Jim, my sincerest appreciation for this forum and for the leadership you have and continue to show in the most trying of times.
Folks, let us remember that several of our past leaders emerged from brokered conventions. The idea of a brokered convention is not yet out of the realm of possibilities, and judging by the media’s urgency to push Romney on us as the “presumptive nominee,” they are banking on the rest of the country just rolling over and voting for Romney during the remaining primaries. We have “superdelegates” even telling us to just roll over and take it. That DOES NOT MEAN WE HAVE TO!
America was built on the backs of strong, hard-working people who valued their freedom and took seriously the idea of voting in the next representative of the free world. America now consists of a very small class of people, FReepers and like-minded folks, who break their backs to support those who only care about the gender of Snooki’s baby and who’s winning “American” Idol.
It used to be that only white landowning men were permitted to vote. Then women. Then all people regardless of race. Where have we gone since then? We had the post-war prosperity of the 1950s, the degradation of society in the 1960s, the malaise of the 1970s, and the buttressing of freedom under Reagan in the 1980s. Now we’re faced with a task: do we vote for a liberal in Republican garb who supports every anathema to freedom espoused by Reagan, or do we allow another 4 years of the Marxist faggot currently residing at 1600 Pennsylvania Ave?
I, for one, am going to wait for the convention. Newt is still in the race, albeit muted, and I’ll personally wait until the end. Even then, no way, no how will I vote for Romney. At some point we have to say, “Enough is enough!”
IBTZ?
;-)
I understand your FRustration and am praying that the USSC decides to completely overturn Obamacare. If they do not, then I am compelled to cast a vote for the candidate that is most likely to sign the legislation that will repeal it. Of course that also assumes that we DO have another Conservative push into both the House and Senate.
In addition, I am stuck in what could be a swing state, so my vote may actually carry weight. Honestly, my heart hurts that I am going to be in a position to HAVE to vote for him....
I will keep praying and I will keep being appreciative for FR. Thank you for giving us this venue.
Well, I’ve been warning everyone from the time that RudyMcRomney started running several years ago. If an abortionist/homosexualist/pro-amnesty/pro-socialized healthcare, big government RINO wins the Republican nomination it will destroy the GOP and set the conservative movement back a generation or more. Looks like it may come to pass. I will never vote for or support this evil abortionist/homosexualist/socialist bastard!! Back to back RINOS (McCain followed by Romney) and we’re toast as a conservative party.
I like the way PA BOOKENDS put it:
PA BOOKENDS to Jim Robinson
We, on the conservative side, always look at the black vote, scratch out heads, & wonder how it is that so many blacks continue to vote for dems when the policies of the democrat party hurt them so badly.
The dems chuckle and retort, Where else are they gonna go?
It seems that the republican establishment has taken the same attitude toward us conservatives - Where else are they gonna go?
Well, this conservative (I havent identified as a republican since Dole was our choice)intends to send them a message -LOUD AND CLEAR - that my vote is NOT to be taken as a given, because I aint givin it to a RINO.
The more of us who make that choice, the louder & clearer the message. Im with you, Jim.
Reality isn't nice. This is a life and death conversation we're engaged in, if you hadn't noticed.
Yes we can. Take care, and all the best to the both of you.
What was really amazing here on FR was to watch all the toadies - who bashed Newt like crazy back last summer when only a few of us supported him - swing into line within hours when he became the "official candidate".
"Yes sir, no sir, three bags full sir, I've been a Newt man all my life sir!!!"
What I cannot comprehend is why the Republicans establishment and voters have listened to the this nonsense on “electability.” Don't trust the enemy's intelligence reports.
Both Obama and Romney are pro-SodomyIsMarriage, pro-abortion,anti-gun, pro-socialized medicine and will appoint liberal judges.
I’d rather have that liberal agenda labeled as Democrat than Republican. Two years later the congressional elections will swing away from the party that gained the POTUS. That means we will have a chance to block Obama in 2 years. But if Romney gets in, neither the rats nor the establishment republicans are going to stand in the way of Romney’s liberal agenda.
The only downside I see to letting Obama win over Romney is that Israel might fare better under Romney.
But the upside is that faced with another 4 years of Obama, Congress might get serious with him and start enforcing the checks and balances that are supposed to be there.
I can’t in good conscience vote for either candidate because of their pro-abortion pro-sodomy stances.
ditto!
