Zimmerman's attorneys announced they have stepped down and are no longer representing him
Attorneys say Zimmerman has not stayed in contact with them, scheduled media appearance with Sean Hannity on his own
"It's no so much that we are resigning. It's that we cannot continue to represent him until he comes forward," said attorney Craig Sonner
"He's got to reach out to us," Uhrig said
Despite stepping away from Zimmerman as a client, both attorneys say they continue to believe he acted in self-defense. "We frankly believe the correct decision will be to not charge him," Uhrig said.
The attorneys say they know of Zimmerman's location and have his personal phone number but have been unable to reach him directly for 48 hours.
"George can't go out and buy a Diet Coke. There's a bounty on his head," Uhrig said.

He repeats himself incessantly, he turns every topic into something that is about him, and he constantly uses the same tired cliches.
Why in the hell would Zimmerman go on his show? It is just giving ammo to the NBPs who already think Hannity/FoxNews is the enemy.
And is it possible that someone has already gotten to George, and that is why he isn't picking up his phone?
I think Zimmerman may have yet another lawsuit against his “counsel” if things go badly for him. Last time I checked, when you have a client who is the most hated man in america and has a bounty on his head, you don’t drop him for not being in touch for 48 hours. You figure out WTH is going on and make sure nothing bad has happened.
Dropping Zimmerman on these grounds is criminal and if it winds up hurting him, he should file charges against them and get them sanctioned if not disbarred. The only thing I can think is that Zimmerman ok’d it and they all have a heads up that this is ok for them to do.
“If he shows up with new lawyers, and their backgrounds include Latino civil rights issues, then well know the plan.”

Fine, that might save his ass.
Meanwhile, white, Christian males, in the same predicament, are clearly SOL.
Because oftentimes listening to your attorney is the difference between getting charged and not getting charged.
Most people convict themselves based on their statements to police.
Zimmerman is definitely afraid (I feel for him on this point).
The only way to “SAVE” himself is to UP his visibility in some way. Lots of stuff going around in the background of this case, and many power people in play. It wouldn’t surprise me at this point if Zimmerman doesn’t know who to trust - which may be a real concern. I’ll be praying that with God’s help the path to Freedom will become clear to him - and give him strength and courage to face this head-on despite whatever the reprecussions may be.
For Zimmerman’s family - DOCUMENT, DOCUMENT, DOCUMENT! Hang-ups, strange phone calls, strange mail, or anything out of the ordinary. Time date and descriptions. A pattern might become apparent and that pattern may be of assistance to police who are trying to maintain control of the situation.
Or a jet gassed up and ready.
My guess is the “money behind” the MSM has gotten to the attorneys. The MSM is very very afraid of what exposure of their lies will cost them in legal settlements.
And this is obviously being fanned by the Traitor who inhabits 1600 Penn. Ave.
I’ve got a third possible:
Maybe Zimmerman has just decided that the legal system is more about billables than anything as quaint as “Justice” anymore, so he may as well go fight this out in any friendly or semi-friendly media he can find.
Sue the media for slandering him? Lotsa luck with that.
Maybe he can join up with VN Vets in a class action.

Good points. I wasn’t looking at that. I was thinking about the other article about him going on TV, and then this article popped up in which he’s apparently playing ditch’em with his attorneys, and came to my conclusion.
Regardless he’s best to stay out of site IMO rather than stir up the Hornets nest providing words for the enemy to twist, which is a game the Left loves to play, and are exceptional at.
Yes we do. (/facepalm)
For a perfect example why, see Jerry Sandusky's interview.
Scheduling media appearances is terrible. I’d have quit on him, too. He hurts his legal case.
Scheduling media appearances is terrible. I’d have quit on him, too. He hurts his legal case.
Every news piece or documentary I’ve seen on Judge Bork said he made a fatal error by shying away from the media and letting them define him without going out in public and pleading his case. I thought everyone else had learned that lesson by now. If you’re innocent, you cannot stay in hiding and not respond to the negative attacks. If you’re guilty, then, yeah, you should probably keep your mouth shut, so you don’t incriminate yourself, and hope you get off on a technicality. Not speaking out in your defense will cause people to assume the accusations against you are correct, plain and simple. Zimmerman could win the court case but still have his life and reputation ruined if he doesn’t address the public.
that interview is his suicide. He will not survive it either way since it will be used against him civily and criminally.
I wonder if the issue is really money too. Perhaps they wanted zimmerman to sign over the movie and book rights.
No, they haven't. Many still think a political prosecution can be handled within the legal system. The Duke Lacrosse Frame taught us different.
Sandusky’s guilty though. If your goal is to get a guilty client off on a technicality then, yes, you don’t want them out there providing verbal evidence of their guilt in public. But if I’m innocent and being tried in the media, I will be pleading my case from the rooftops no matter what you guys say. It’s difficult to keep lies consistent because they’re lies, so the more you talk the more you might trip yourself up. But if you’re innocent and only want to tell the truth, I would think you have very little to be afraid of by speaking out. Not that you want to go into a hostile interview that might try to trip you up, but going on Sean Hannity is going to be fine.
it’s possible that Zimmerman is raking in the money already with his online request for legal support, and is moving on to more expensive and qualified attorneys.
After reading your comment, I tried to put myself in Zimmerman's shoes.
Afraid and confused, yes, I would be. I would also be completely paranoid about my family and friends safety, as well as my own.
That is a heavy burden.
That would be my first and biggest concern as his lawyers; that Malik Zulu Shazam and his tribe of cannibals hasn't killed him.
