The theme for the Easter Egg Roll at the White House may have been 'Let’s Go, Let’s Play, Let’s Move!', following the First Lady's campaign against obesity - but the menu on offer would have satisfied any couch potato. The Obamas welcomed thousands of children and their parents on to the South Lawn this morning to feast on a brunch menu that included waffles, French toast and slurpees. Later in the day, visitors were offered choices of cheeseburgers, chicken tenders, hot dog and curly fries, egg salad or peanut butter and jelly sandwiches.

Funny how the British media are the only ones to mention this. I guess Obama hasn’t figured out how to control the overseas press...yet.

Schools are banning peanuts and peanut butter sandwiches, so how did they manage to offer peanut butter and jelly sandwiches with the possibility of somebody having an allergic reaction?.
Did they offer hoodies, skittles and ice tea?
And who paid for this? We did!
How do they decide which kids get to go?
So by reading the article I learned that the “first grandmother” attended the festivities. “First grandmother”? Really? Another unelected mooch being supported by taxpayers.
You have to read about it - as with her lavish Spanish vacation - in the DailyMail. Hugo Chavez dreams of coverage like this.

How practical and CHEAP of the organizers of this event to offer foods that children will eat as opposed to the foods that Michelle pushed on restaurant chains across the country. Now at restaurants you are offered a tiny bowl of grapes or some such for $2 more than in the past. And you may or may not have the option to order fries. I’m fine with having grapes, but 10 grapes do not cost a restaurant an additional $2 to purchase, wash, and serve.
But really, this was a smart move. You wouldn’t want a bunch of starving children moping around the WH for all the cameras to see. You have to serve them food they like. This is unlike school. At school, children are supposed to look unhappy and hungry.
The first grandmother lives at the White House. She takes care of the children. I believe she escorted little MAO (Malia Obama) to Mexico a few weeks ago along with 25 Secret Service agents. She was in at least one of the photos I saw on Drudge when he was changing pics frequently on the day the media scrubbed the story.
This is what Michelle ate last year at Shake Shack - to the tune of about 1800 calories ...
But, to be fair, she DID have a Diet Coke [not pictured] ...
It is some type of lottery, my son got to take his 2 year old daughter, said he would never do it again though.
