I have been waiting for Richard Jewell’s name to come up. I remember that interview with Katie Couric. I had been a fan and quit watching the Today show after that. All I could think was that I didn’t think that poor man had done anything but try to protect people..... and she just bullied and badgered him and continued accusing him and maligning him. They destroyed his life.
Perhaps I should be thankful because I learned to be suspicious of everything I see in the news.

They had the FBI's help with the FBI stories. Not just the FBI, but the help of Louis Freeh, who leaked the Jewel story to the press. That's Louis Freeh, of Ruby Ridge, Waco, TWA flight 800, Wen Ho Lee, Robert Hanssen, Khobar Towers, personally blocking the Chinese political campaign investigation, Vince Foster . . .
He's currently in charge of Penn State's internal investigation of its own role in the Jerry Sandusky pedophilia coverup.
