Last week, President Barack Obama laid down a marker to the Supreme Court: Invalidate the health care law, and the court itself will become an issue in the election.
Its impossible to make any sense of this. Overturning a statute is unprecedented? Obama supposedly taught constitutional law, yet there he was, speaking as if hed never heard of judicial review practiced by American courts for more than two centuries while pretending that a bill that barely escaped a Senate filibuster and passed the House by a mere seven votes had drawn a strong majority.
The next day, he acknowledged the power of the court to invalidate a statute, but in an odd way the whole episode seemed to fit with his tooth-fairy energy policy, with all its non-existent green jobs and now-bankrupt solar companies. The man seems to waft in and out of reality at will.
In the last couple of weeks the tone from the left has become desperate. From the beginning, supporters of Obamacare assumed they had the law on their side. Dont worry, the personal mandate is well within the power of Congress proper regulation of interstate commerce and all that.
But the Supreme Court didnt get the memo and the stern treatment of the governments case came as a shock.
Obamacare seems a dead end, entitlement liberalisms bridge too far a flawed attempt to impose central planning on an enormously complicated economic sector. If its not invalidated by the court or repealed by Congress, the law will collapse of its own weight, brought down by its exorbitant cost and persistent unpopularity. Heres hoping the court lets Congress have a do-over.

A “do-over”? Hell no. Dig a hole, toss in the corpse, then burn it to ash so that it never rises again.
I’m sick of the whole bunch of them.
Nothing ever gets solved because if something actually got solved, they wouldn’t have an issue to campaign on.
I wonder if President Downgrade’s antics will result in a 7-2 vote to overturn.
lot of ignorants out there, couple that to those on the public dole one way or another
There aren't enough reasonable, somewhat intelligent, Independent voters to get him out.
...and lye. Do NOT forget the lye.
I think Obama is smart in the manipulative calculating scondrel shyster scheming $h!T disturbing kind of way. Obama, if you believe what history we know about him, has had a lot of handlers and mentors in the prog commie theology.
That is why when he goes off prompter he is a babbling idiot.
Although, he’s a true believer in the unAmerican way. He really believes that almost everything bad is American made...particularly the USC.
However, that is not enough...because America has only been around for around 250 years.
Who is to blame before America existed?
Well, naturally “ Brittish Imperialism. Before that probably the white man and the jew.
What serperates Obama from probably any President previous is his williness and delight to lie and lie and lie some more. He is the biggest lier in the know Universe!
He is unashamed and even proud of his ability to stand before the American people and feed them a line of crap. He doesn’t care if he know you know he is a lier.
Because he is on a mission to detroy America as we have known it.
Too bad the voters you describe are .01% of the voting population.
I’m absolutely SICK about this election. Romney sucks donkey balls, and the RNC are going to cram him down our throats. Overall, the voters are a bunch of simpering morons (as evidenced by our current President).
That is why when he goes off prompter he is a babbling stammering idiot.
There is no evidence that Obama is a avid reader. He mostly likely had a ghost writer write his books. Obama has probably never had an original thought.
He is mostly parroting the prog commie radical theology.
He obviously has to disguise it for public consumption.
And, the prog commie media is willing to go along.
One can only hope. Elena Kagan and Ruth Bader-Ginsburg will stick with Obama all the way to the abyss.
Lots of ignorance in the GOP also. Look where we are in our nominating process. It’s winnowed down to “Kook-Daddy” and the Three Stooges.
I don’t want a “do over”, I don’t want no part of the government telling me that I have to buy anything!
Romney sucks donkey balls, and the RNC are going to cram him down our throats.

Don’t put all the blame on the RNC. Conservatives share the biggest part of the blame. We’ve done this to ourselves. The “good” Conservatives like Jim DeMint and Paul Ryan didn’t have the balls to run. So, look what we’re stuck with. And we get “loser” Conservatives dividing up the vote, because they all have egos too friggin’ big to drop out, and the lone Moderate cruises to the nomination. Happens every time. So, don’t just blame the RNC. Let’s take our share of the blame.
And, the prog commie media is willing to go along.
It is the media’s willingness to completely back up Obama that is will be the greatest obstacle in defeating Obama. Not Obama.
And, massive voter fraud.
Dig a hole, toss in the corpse, then burn it to ash so that it never rises again.
...and lye. Do NOT forget the lye.
Don’t forget the stake, driven right through
the heart.
This whole call for a “do over” is just another
chance for leftists to complete the job they
started. NO, HELL NO!
Not to mention a knuclehad on the pub side with no proven evidence of reform...that is on the side of the Constitutional Republic and not the commie Dim-mock-crazy version of it.
Maybe it’s time for true conservatives to abandon the Republican Party, then. I have to ask: how, exactly, are true conservatives to blame for people like Romney? This would only be the case if we vote for them.
