Keith Olbermann is a liar, a bully ... and worst of all -- he's just plain MEAN ... this according to Current TV.
The network has fired back at the "Countdown" host ... claiming his $70 million lawsuit is "false and malicious."
Current also says Olbermann was a crappy employee ... and got the chop due to "serial, material breaches of his contract, including the failure to show up at work, sabotaging the network and attacking Current and its executives."
A rep for the network added, "As the old adage says: 'When the law is on your side, you argue the law. When the facts are on your side, you argue the facts. When neither the law nor the facts are on your side, you pound the table.'"
He continues, "We will be happy to engage on the law and the facts in the appropriate forum. It is well established that over his professional career Mr. Olbermann has specialized in pounding the table."
The network concludes with one final shot ... "We hope Mr. Olbermann understands that when it comes to the legal process, he is actually required to show up."

Last night a remote segment with KO was cut short abruptly due to the satellite feed being cut off.
The guest had arrived late and was rescheduled to a later time in the show. Unfortunately our lines coordinator forgot to extend the satellite window.
KO as you will read below got a little emotional.

Not a fan of KO yb any stretch, but that reads like a chickenshot email. Seems from reading between the lines that many people hated working with him and wanted him fired, so they documented every possible thing he did that was offensive. But bitching about throwing a glass and “creating a potential slip and fall hazard” is laughably lame.
I don’t think there is a major US corporation where shattering a glass in anger in an accessible area would not get a guy fired. Try it at your job and see how it works for you if you think it is such a “lame ass” complaint.

I don’t think that place is a major corporation. That dude is a prima donna with a history of egotistical outbursts. He was their #1 guy, the guy they hoped would build the network. They knew what they were getting when they hired him. They put a potentially $50 million package together to lock him in - an obscene amount of money for guy who just got canned and probably couldn’t get any other decent job (the $50 million may have been hard to attain, contingent on ratings, but put out to make him look good and make the network look well financed, but that’s a different story). Guys like that can break glasses.
Reading between the lines, I would guess - and I admit it is a guess - that they got in over their heads, and while he probably is a jerk that nobody wants to work with if he brought them the ratings and the money they expected they probably would have put up with his behind the screen (and some on screen) antics. But the ratings never came, the money never came, and that probably made him impossible to work with. So the word gets out among those who want him gone, document everything. And so they do. “slip and fall hazard”, seriously? Laughable.
