Third News Network Admits to False Reporting on George Zimmerman

BEGIN TRANSCRIPT

RUSH: Safe to say that the media has destroyed George Zimmerman. They set out to destroy George Zimmerman, and they've done it. It's unconscionable what they've done. George Zimmerman doesn't have a microphone, can't fight back. He was just singled out and destroyed. The third network has come forward today and admitted that their original interpretation of a tape involving words spoken by Zimmerman may now not be correct. The third network. The first was NBC, which admitted doctoring a 911 tape. This is not an accident that takes place in the hustle and bustle of putting together a newscast.

This was a purposeful, racist, hate-oriented decision by a major American network to lie to the American people about a person involved in the Trayvon Martin case, George Zimmerman. Then ABC puts out police video where they claim there's no sign of injury here to Zimmerman. There's no sign of anything he says. He says his head was beaten against the ground, got a bloody nose, there's no sign of that. Then all of a sudden ABC decides that they're gonna enhance the video, and they say that they strip a layer away -- this is police video, by the way, now -- and that all of a sudden, lo and behold, there is evidence of injury on the back of George Zimmerman's head.

Now it is CNN saying that after enhancing the audio of Zimmerman's 911 call, they don't think he used a racial slur after all. The original report said the first inaccurate reports from the rooftops -- meaning that they just screamed this -- is that George Zimmerman referred to Trayvon Martin as a... well, how do I say this? Two words, the F-bomb. Gee, I'm not even comfortable saying what they said he said. It turns out that now they've enhanced the audio. They took it into a different room. Gary Tuchman at CNN, (paraphrasing) "We took it into a different room and we listened to it, and now it's pretty obvious he didn't say what we thought he said. There was no racial slur." As a result of this, the entire basis on which the mainstream media has been reporting this story has been shown to be a total lie and made up. They wanted there to be a racial component to this so bad that the New York Times referred to Zimmerman as a white Hispanic for only the fifth time that anybody could find in the New York Times archives.

Greetings, folks. Here we are, Rush Limbaugh, behind the Golden EIB Microphone, the Limbaugh Institute for Advanced Conservative Studies. The telephone number if you want to join is 800-282-2882, and the e-mail address, ElRushbo@eibnet.com.

Zimmerman's 911 call: Audio enhanced again

The word that they said that Zimmerman used to describe Trayvon Martin rhymes with goon. Do you know what it is? Dawn's looking like she doesn't know what it is. Okay, James told you. Rhymes with goon. Rhymes with June. Rhymes with moon. The second syllable of the name of an animal has this word in it. Folks, do you realize that the entire foundation of this story has now been blown up across three networks, by their own admission, after the fact, long after all the damage was done. And over at Politico, you don't even find any reference to NBC's apology or admission that they did something wrong. You find one little reference to it in a media blog, ostensibly.

BREAK TRANSCRIPT

RUSH: Recently, ladies and gentlemen, CNN enhanced audio of George Zimmerman, the man who shot Trayvon Martin, to try and determine if Zimmerman did in fact use a racial slur while calling the cops on the night of the shooting. Back then, when CNN first examined the tape, it sounded like Zimmerman might have used the phrase... (sigh) The F-bomb i-n-g and a word that rhymes with "goons." How about "freaking raccoons"? That's what they thought he said (minus the "rac") and his critics have cited that as evidence of a racially motivated attack, along with NBC's now edited 911 tape, which has been firmly established to have been edited in such a way to make it look like Zimmerman said something he didn't say.

He did not characterize Trayvon Martin until he was asked, and he was given multiple choice.

But now CNN has enhanced the audio again, and the reporter is casting doubts that the term was used. Gary Tuchman said, when the audio was first enhanced, "It certainly sounds like that word to me," the raccoon word. But after the latest enhancement, Tuchman isn't so sure. Now it does sound less like that racial slur. This a couple days after NBC admitted that they doctored this tape and then flimsily apologized for it, here comes CNN. So it's three networks now who had to say that what they originally reported wasn't true and each of these three reports have retracted the racial component.

Without this racial component, without these Fake Media reports, you don't have a racial story here. These three media reports are the only reason we're talking about a racial story. That and the fact that the race industry saw an opportunity and jumped into it. Shelby Steele in the Wall Street Journal has a column today. He says this kind of thing makes the race industry happy because it allows them to continue to pontificate from this stage they live on. So Tuchman said so: "Yeah, it does sound less like that racial slur, from listening in this room -- and this is a state-of-the-art room. It doesn't sound like that racial slur anymore.

"Sounds like we're hearing the swear word the first and then the word 'cold'" instead of the raccoon word. So that Zimmerman said, "Gee, it's freaking cold." And it was unseasonably cold and wet in Sanford, Florida, that night. And Tuchman says, "And the reason some say that would be relevant is because it was unseasonably cold in Florida that night." The audio expert agreed it sounded like "cold" and said "the new method gets rid of a lot more background noise but doesn't change the voice or the words." Well, the whole case has collapsed here. The whole racial aspect of the case, made by the media, has apparently just collapsed, folks.

BREAK TRANSCRIPT

RUSH: The racial angle in this story is just repulsive anyway. It has been repulsive since the first day that the media tried to introduce it into this story.

BREAK TRANSCRIPT

RUSH: Let's go to the CNN piece, the audio. I'm not through with the racial component here of this Trayvon Martin story. The whole aspect of this being racial is repulsive. It need not have ever been. It was instituted, introduced by the media. It's all fallen apart now, and I want to expand on that, but I've been talking about the CNN stuff long enough. Let me get to this here. We're gonna start with Wolf Blitzer. This was last night on Anderson Cooper 10. Wolf Blitzer was filling in for Anderson Cooper, who was at the nail salon. And during a discussion about the newly enhanced audio for the 911 call, Blitzer and Jeffrey Toobin had this exchange.

BLITZER: It's a major issue as far as the Justice Department is concerned, that word, whether it was a bad word or simply saying, eh, eh, it was cold -- uh, "f-ing cold" -- because the Justice Department presumably wouldn't get involved in a civil rights case if the word is "cold."

TOOBIN: The only way the federal government has jurisdiction over this homicide is if they can prove there was some sort of racial hostility at the core of it. This is obviously very important. It's not the only piece of evidence in the case. The Justice Department presumably will investigate every aspect of this. But certainly if the word is "cold," not c-o-o-n, that is highly relevant.

RUSH: Really? Really? So the original report, because the original hearing of the tape sound like he's an F-ing raccoon, but now if the word's "cold," why, there's no racial component. Oh, no! Oh, no! That means the feds can't get involved! Oh, no. It also means the whole premise under which this was reported was wrong. So then on Anderson Cooper 10 they played a portion of correspondent Gary Tuchman's report, where he played an isolated part of the 9/11 call from Zimmerman to the cops the night Trayvon Martin was shot, believing it showed Zimmerman saying a racial slur. Here's Gary Tuchman.

TUCHMAN: Rick, can we play just that second word, what we think the second word is and see if it sounds any different. Okay?

ZIMMERMAN: (garbled word repeating)

TUCHMAN: I mean, it certainly sounds like that word to me, although you just can't be sure.

ZIMMERMAN: (garbled word repeating)

TUCHMAN: That sounds even more like the word than using it when it was with the F-word before that.

RUSH: Right. Right. Well, last night CNN enhanced the audio like NBC revisited their purposely doctored tape and like ABC enhanced their video. CNN enhanced the audio and they now conclude that Zimmerman was merely saying the word "cold."

TUCHMAN: Let's play it a few times.

ZIMMERMAN: Cold... Cold... Cold... Cold...

TUCHMAN: Now, it does sound less like that racial slur. Last time I acknowledged possibility it can have that slur. From listening in this room -- and this is state-of-the-art room, it doesn't sound like that slur anymore. It sounds like -- and we wanted to leave it up to the viewer, but it sounds like -- we're hearing the swear word at first and the word "cold." And the reason some say that would be relevant is because it was unseasonably cold in Florida that night and raining.

RUSH: Oh, give us... "And some say this would be relevant." The reason some people are saying it would be relevant, because you mighta gotten it wrong! It's a big difference if the word's "cold" instead of the other one because then the Justice Department has no reason to get involved. I remember -- and I wasn't the only one, folks. There were a lot of people when this story broke who said, "Don't forget the Duke lacrosse case." Don't forget it. We know who the media are, we know who the race hustlers are, and we know that they salivate over stories like this. But the racial angle is repulsive no matter how you look at this.

Even if Zimmerman were a Klansman, he wouldn't be guilty for shooting somebody who was beating him savagely. If Trayvon Martin were a Black Panther, it would still be wrong for Zimmerman to shoot him if he was not defending himself. We are supposed to have blind justice! It is not supposed to matter. The racial component here is not supposed to matter. We have a dead teenager. We have a dead American. We have somebody who shot him. We still don't know the details. All we have are a bunch of networks and race hustlers trying to create a stereotype out of this, going so far as the New York Times referring to Zimmerman (who's a Democrat, by the way) as a "white Hispanic" just to create the template or the narrative or the whole stereotype, if you will.

Race is being injected into this case to enrich the race-baiters, to whip up the Democrat base, to sell newspapers, to try to enhance television network audience, and to lay the groundwork for double jeopardy in case Zimmerman escapes state prosecution. Because with race, you can claim civil rights violations. You get the feds involved here, Eric the Red and the DOJ to go in there for a second time on the same crime. If you lose the first time, you get DOJ in there on a civil rights violation. I am still willingly naive. In all the years that I have been on the radio, it has never considered to me to do what NBC did with a piece of audio.

It never occurred to me just to make a point or just to further my agenda. What good is it if it's a lie? And had I, can you imagine? But it never even occurs to me. These people, not only does it occur to them, it's one of the first things they think about! They see a story with a black teenager, and that's all it is. They're off to the races. In their mind, "Let's manufacture this. Do we have an element here where we can manufacture a race hate crime out of this?" Because that's what they think this country is. This is the real bottom line. NBC, CNN, ABC, that's what they think of America. That's what this country is still like.

BREAK TRANSCIRPT

RUSH: Craig Sonner is the lawyer for George Zimmerman. And he was on CNN Piers Morgan Tonight. Is Piers Morgan on before what's his name, Anderson Cooper? Piers Morgan replaced Larry King, so it's nine o'clock. That would be right, because I think Erin Burnett's on at eight, then Anderson Cooper when he's not at the nail salon is on at ten, and Piers Morgan's on at nine. What I'm getting at is I wonder if this aired before CNN announced that their latest enhancement to the audio found out that Zimmerman didn't say what everybody thought. Let's listen to the sound bites. Piers Morgan said, "If he was acting as a Neighborhood Watch official, then you would accept the fact he should not have been carrying a weapon, or indeed using it. Is that right?"

SONNER: The one thing we know as a fact is that George Zimmerman was attacked by Trayvon Martin. He was punched in the nose. His head was beaten on the ground, and he acted in self-defense when Trayvon Martin was shot.

RUSH: Piers Morgan then says, (imitating Morgan) "But they are suppositions; they are not facts. That's not a fact. I'm a journalist, and I know facts, and that's not a fact. That's supposition based on what George Zimmerman has told you, and the police, but in terms of facts, evidence, that's still not clear. It's not factual evidence yet."

George Zimmerman's Attorney: 'It's Been Open Season' - 'The Media Has Just Absolutely Destroyed Him Unfairly'

SONNER: That's right. That's why I'm telling everyone to wait before you rush to judgment. Wait 'til the facts come in. Wait 'til this goes to court. Wait 'til the facts come in, admissible evidence in court, not what's admissible evidence in public opinion, because what's admissible in public opinion are doctored 911 tapes and whatever anyone else wants to say about George Zimmerman. It's been open season on just destroying this man's credibility, destroying who he was. He can no longer go back to the person he was, being involved in his community, mentoring children. You've destroyed him. The media has just absolutely destroyed him, unfairly, and the conclusions you're drawing in your questions to me show that you've already reached that same conclusion, too.

RUSH: Yep. Exactly right. Piers Morgan. Somebody, their first name is Piers, it's like unfinished bridges. It's like his parents really wanted to name him Bridges Morgan and they looked out the window and all they saw was Piers? I don't know. At any rate, did you notice how calm this guy is about what's happened to his client? They did destroy him, but doctoring these tapes by major media. You take the First Amendment away, this is criminal stuff, folks. It's real hard criminal stuff, if you take the First Amendment and the freedom of the press away from this. This wasn't accidental editing in a hurry. They got what they wanted. All this stuff's on tape. Didn't air live. It couldn't have aired live because it isn't what happened.

What was your first reaction when you heard the report about it? Mine was, I don’t know, I wasn’t there. I became however very suspicious when the reverends Jackson and Sharpton got involved

Apparently, they didn’t learn one from destroying Richard Jewell.

You'd think they'd try to clean up their act after the Duke lacrosse fiasco but they're just too corrupted by their vicious liberalism. I guess their racist agenda trumps their desire to have any credibility.

I hope Zimmerman can file a lawsuit against all the scum in the media who slandered him with blatant lies. They have to pay a high price for this or they will keep doing it over and over again.

Wonder when Glenn Beck is going to admit the same.

Let's ping some of the resident experts and hear what they have to say......

I don’t watch him on his network either, although I’d like to.

I heard this over a number of days on his radio show. It was SO BAD that I quit listeing to him, but probably not permanently. I was extremely disappointed in him as he is the one who essentially taught me about how media lies and why, and then he fell for it hook line and sinker.

My theory as to why is, much like Bill O’Reilly, he fears black people rioting so much that he would toss an innocent person under the bus in order to avoid it. Just a theory there though, I could be wrong.

My first reaction to the story was this.

I rememebr sitting in a sushi restaraunt eating lunch with my mom while CNN was on the TV in the back ground. They went on and on and on, and they kept flashing the well known pictures of Trayvon as a child and Zimmerman as a thug.

My mom commented that hey are going on to much with this story and I said to her why do they keep flashing this pictures over and over? It’s like watching mind control.

What I meant by that was it reminded me of some old movie I’ve seen where they strap someone down and show an endless series of violent images to the person in an effort to mind control them.

So, initially on day one of my exposure to this story, I didn’t know the exact nature of the BS, but I suspected it, and that is why I began to question the situation from that day one. I would have expected Beck to do the same, but he did the exact opposite.

They’re all missing an even larger point.

What in the hell difference does it make what Zimmerman did or didn’t call the sumbitch who was beating him when he called 911? Who CARES?

Look, if someone is beating me, you can rest assured they’ll get called stuff their mother never dreamed. I’d call them the most despicable things I could muster....and boy can I muster them.

In this instance, I’d have called young Treyvon everything but white, guarantee. Why? It’s called “fighting for your life”. Adrenalin flowing, fear....you name it.

So who gives a flyin’ rat’s ass what Zimmerman called him? The whole issue is a non-issue, and Rush needs to back up and realize he’s allowing the lying MSM to set the agenda here yet again.

He better go out and knit some more Christmas sweaters then, cause he’s getting sued into the poor house. I wonder if Gloria Alread with take this one, even after she piled on...

Yes, I have to agree that it was vile.

Honestly, I hope they both get their a$$es sued into oblivion, because they deserve it.

I can’t help but wonder if this is why Glenn has been away from his show this week, though I imagine probably not.

But this week would have been a GOOD WEEK to apologize for your despicable idiocy, Mr. Beck, because you certainly owe one.

Man up.

The Lynch Mob Media achieved its purpose. It whipped up a frenzy of racial hatred to promote its leftist agenda. Now they're doing a few "oops" corrections to try and save some credibility with the gullible. Only a fool would buy anything they peddle after this.

Michael Medved said today, and not for the first time, that Zimmerman should have been arrested. Basically, he said let the judge and jury sort it out. Not a moment’s thought for the costs that would entail an innocent man if Zimmerman’s account was proved accurate. Hush Hewitt also takes this stance. I guess the cops need no evidence of a crime these days. Shoot a gun, go to jail.

Do you mean Pagliarulo (or however you spell it) also known as “Joe Pags”?

That guy is a dumb ass.

They tried having him replace Lonsberry at WHAM in Rochester when Lonsberry got fired. Pagliorulo was so awful they dumped him and hired Lonsberry back. And Lonsberry isn’t exactly the brightest bulb in the box.

I heard Pagliarulo going on about this Trayvon/Zimmerman fiasco on some weekend radio show. Pagliorulo had Zimmerman convicted of being a racist gun crazy wannabe cop. It was disgusting but not surprising coming from “Joe Pags”.

The man is untalented and stupid. He has a voice for radio but should stick to reading scripts that intelligent people write.
