Romney didn't say the club should allow women...he said he would admit them if he ran it.
If he had framed it differently and said the club should do what it wants next question up: "do in your opinion it would be OK to exclude blacks"?
They set a trap for him but Romney answered well IMO.

There are plenty of things to criticize Romney for, but this isn't one of them IMHO.

Racial differences are meaningless but gender differences are real. Which is why we allow gender-segregated schools, dorms, bathrooms, etc. but not the same for different races.
