...If it's Mittens what are YOU going to do...are you going to swallow DEEP, PLUG yout NOSE and vote for "him" OR WAHT?
“The survival of the country is at stake and I think Romney gets that”
Really??? Exactly what part of his governorship proves your point? He proved he is nothing but a liberal as governor.
The RNC is promoting a liberal. Screw them.
The nonsense is believing that Romney is in any way conservative.
ABO
“what exactly makes you think hell touch ObamaCare?”
Because he’s been running on that. Ok, so your argument is that even though he has said it 50 times in the campaign and even though the Republican party is united behind repealing Obamacare, and if we have a Republican Congress it will get repealed and sent to his desk, and even if this happens ... he wont do it.
I guess you’ll believe it when you see it.
if Romney wins, the REAL impediment to repealing Obamacare will be Harry Reid. we MUST have a GOP senate to pass repeal in Congress.
Non sequitor.
Never said Romney is a conservative.
Romney is also not a crypo-marxist left-liberal with socialist leanings like Obama is. Even though some freepers tag Romney with those labels, its hyperbole.
The difference between center-right moderate Romney and
left-liberal Obama is quite large.
It will be no more difficult than it was voting for McCain.
Who did the party prevent from running?
“Money. They refuse to fund those they do not want to run. It is a HUGE machine to get going and the party can stomp a candidate or promote them.”
WRONG! The party does not have money to give to candidates in primaries. Each candidate has to raise money from their supporters, NOT the party.
Reality check: The party did NOT prevent ANYONE from running, not Cain, Bachmann, Santorum, Newt, Huntsman, Romney, Pawlenty. Each made their own decision ... I mean none of them were ‘approved’ by the ‘party’ nor were they stopped from running.
People who have money or influence will make individual decisions to back some candidates or not. that’s how democracy works. It’s not ‘the party’.
You really are naive. The party makes press releases, petitions their friends in the press for favorable attention, asks donors to donate, organizes State level efforts, etc.
You make it sound as if someone just starts a campaign and asks for donations and makes it or not.
This is nothing more than digital masterbation. We all know the problem and we all know the only real solution, difficult and dangerous though it certainly is. Electing another member of the established ruling elite, regardless of party, is not the answer. A “President Romney” may slow things down a bit but ultimately he will take America closer to the same place Obama is heading and a GOP Congress will go along to get along - business as usual.
Don’t think that a bunch of bright eyed congressional freshmen will accomplish anything significant either. Their enthusiasm for small government will be kicked to the curb within a few weeks of arriving inside the beltway by remaining members with seniority and the entrenched bureaucracy.
No. The rule of law and the Constitution cannot be restored unless the entire government is replaced and the culture of the Washington elites with it, and that FRiends, will not be accomplished at the polls.
God help us.
I will not vote for 0bama, EVER.
I will not vote for R0mney, EVER.
Same thing over and over and over....and over and over...
I've been done with the Republican party since Bush's kid ran for a second term.
The Republican BS is up to the rooftops.
You’re so right.
It’s all a sham.
Half the population can’t seem to figure out both beltway parties are ridding in the same damn limo.
A.B.O.
I’ll hold my nose and vote for my former governor, though I’ll need a shower afterward.
My enthusiasm is almost exactly the low as what I held for John McCain, only this time I don’t have a Sarah Palin to provide some optimism. We’ll see who Mittens picks for veep, but I’m not getting my hopes up. Watch and see if Mittens doesn’t pick the worst, reach-across-the-aisle RINO in the country.
Who is worse? I can’t help but think that even with all of Romney’s negatives, Obama, in a second term, would be ten times more destructive than he has been in his first. Perhaps Romney will at least do the right thing for businesses to make a comeback and help the job situation.
ABO
It would. So I won't.
You are the naive one. People get elected through campaigns not through party press releases. Primaries decide who gets nominated, and primary campaigns are how its done.
The party efforts are for organization and the general election.
“You make it sound as if someone just starts a campaign and asks for donations and makes it or not.”
Maybe after you have helped dozens of campaigns like I have, you’ll figure it out.
I’ll have the lasagna.
After scanning this thread I have to say that it’s the worst one I’ve ever seen.
Even the lasagna will kill ya.
I love threads like this... it’s like asking, ‘Do you want to run over your tallywacker with a Ford or a Chevrolet ?’
