WASHINGTON (AP) -- Few would quarrel with President Barack Obama's point that the Republican Party has drifted to the right in recent years, disavowing ideas it once embraced - even created. But making that case in a major campaign speech, Obama ignored realities in his own Democratic ranks.

For one, it was opposition from coal-state Democrats that sank cap-and-trade legislation to control greenhouse gas emissions, not just from those arch-conservative Republicans.

I find it extraordinary when Obama says an entire sentence without lying. Usually when he does actually say a singular true sentence it is under false pretenses or followed up with a completely ridiculous conclusion. In many speeches he is able to go entire paragraphs without saying a single true sentence even as pretense for a subsequent lie.

Hey, Calvin! The Democrat Party is controlled by radical Marxists. The Republicans are to the left of Jack Kennedy right now.

Yep. The Republican party has gone so far to the right that only a hardcore conservative like Mittens Romney can win its primary. Ronald Reagan wouldn’t have a chance in today’s Right Wing party. LOL!

Well AP you just cannot stop lying! I am one of those alleged few who KNOW the GOP has NOT drifted to the right and in fact that is my sole reason for being so upset with GWB and that is he spent like a liberal and gave the government more power over me. In some cases unconstitutional power.

So typical of Saul Alinsky followers that they start out with a completely false premise then build a case around it.
