Kiss frontman Gene Simmons appeared on Fox News Channels Fox & Friends to discuss the 2012 race and President Obama, as well as promote his new chain of restaurants Rock & Brews. On the program, Simmons offered his support for former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney in his bid to replace President Obama in the White House.
The reason sometimes Republicans get in including the Senate, House and presidency is because Americans, smartly, and I applaud them for doing so, vote on the issues and not the party, said Simmons. Im an American. I want both parties to appeal to me, and then Ill make my educated decision. Sometimes youre right, sometimes Im wrong.

He is twice wrong. Romney is the PROVEN loser,
and PROVEN-bad Governor (which is why he claims
he is from ‘outside’ gov’t).

You got someone else we can vote for? Conservatives have lost in the bid for a Presidential candidate. Its time to start thinking about 2016.
Move on or prepare for another 4 years of BO.

I don’t like Romney. At all. That being said, if Romney is the Republican nominee against Obama I will vote for Romney. We can primary him in 2016. But we cannot, if we love this country, allow Obama to be re-elected. If Obama ran against an old sock I’d campaign like crazy for that sock.
Romney is awful; but can you imagine an unfettered Obama, who will likely get to pick TWO MORE Supremes next term?

Time to grow up and stop acting like children. Until Conservatives control the GOP we will continue to have the candidates the current establishment wants.

I agree. Bad as Romney might be, another Obama term is an unimaginable nightmare. Besides Supreme Court picks, in every other sphere of his Presidency, he will no longer care about re-election. Inasmuch as he was already a brazen commie bastard when he was facing re-election, it boggles the mind to think about what he’d do in a second term. G-d help us and save America!

Well stated.
Anyone who stays home rather than vote for the Republican candidate will be complicit in the re-election of Obama.
Our nation cannot endure another four years of this catastrophic president.

Actually, Simmons IS smarter than the average rock star, by a longshot. Which is why I’m amazed he ever voted for Obama in the first place.

You seem to be sending out contradictory messages here, on the one hand you proclaim that "conservatives have lost in the bid for a Presidential candidate" inferring that everyone should just go on and vote for ORomney. Then you state "Its time to start thinking about 2016", which suggests that you are either conceding that 0bama will hand Mitt-Witt's ass to him on a platter, OR you are suggesting that if Romney somehow pulls off a win this November, that conservatives should be looking to dislodge him as the GOP nominee in 2016, which would be a nearly insurmountable task.
I've said it before and I'll say it again: 0bama is pouring socialism down America's throat, and if Romney wins, we still get it poured down our throat, but it will be with exquisite crystal goblets, befitting someone of Romney's "stature" (laugh-chuckle-spit).
As disgusting and distasteful as the prospect may be, America is only half way through it's bout of socialist food poisoning, 0bama is very likely going to win a second term if Romney is the nominee, and 2016 WILL be the year (assuming America survives) that conservatives will need to do what was done in 1980, identify, support and nominate a TRUE American conservative in the mold of Ronald Reagan, and take back the GOP from the big government statists and 'Rat enablers.

Give your head a shake pal, you would be trying to deny an incumbent President the nomination of his own party after 4 years? You talk about "primary'ing" him in 2016, that's not like some RINO Congressman from some podunk district somewhere, you're talking about the incumbent power of the Presidency, so you can go on and believe that little fantasy you've got going, but don't expect the rest of us to buy into that crap, ok?

Simmons said he voted for obamma because he thought he would be different from what he turned out to be. basically he voted for him because he was black and read nice speeches. a lot of people thought that, the smarter ones wont make the same mistake.

Oh, stop...that makes too much sense...and I agree with you, even if socks' running mate was a dirty jockstrap.
Maybe we should start a campaign...
Vote for ought-six's old sock
The SOB in office needs to go.
I think it's OK to squabble about the candidates during the primary but after that we need to do everything we can to rid this country of the race baiting, class warfare inciting, economic and job killing moron we have now.
