NBC has launched an internal probe after running an edited version of the 911 call from George Zimmerman -- the man who shot and killed Trayvon Martin -- that made Zimmerman sound racist.
"We have launched an internal investigation into the editorial process surrounding this particular story," the network said in a statement to the Washington Post on Monday.
NBC's "Today" show ran the edited audio of George Zimmerman's phone call to a police dispatcher in which Zimmerman says: "'This guy looks like he's up to no good
he looks black."

I’m thinking they probably launched more of a focus group than an internal probe.
ABCNNBCBS = GGTV = Gangster Govt TV = American Pravda.
Stuff like that should get their broadcasting license suspended for a week. Next time, a month. etc.
Rush Limbaugh translates: “They are focus-grouping various excuses to see which one hurts them the least”.
No such oversight exists in the Trayvon Martin editing scandal. Asking NBC to investigate its “journalistic ethics and integrity” is an oxymoron.
Famous bank robber Willie Sutton, when asked why he robbed banks answered, “because that's where the money is,” Now imagine Willie robbing the NBC piggy bank and then NBC hiring Sutton to audit the loss because “he was familiar with our product.” RIGHT!
How do you get a jury for a civil trial, without any N.B.C. worshiping individuals on it?
NBC has launched an internal probe
That means they are pretending to look into to it
while staling for enough time. Hopefully, the next public outrage ( which there are many if anyone if half paying attention)will cause people to forget about it.
An internal investigation at NBC is like an internal investigation at the IRS.
“So how many YEARS will it take to find out what happened???”
Probably less thatn a year if the ELECTION in NOVEMBER goes against NBC...err...Obama...
