Minister Malik Shabazz made headlines when he made this impassioned remark at a Detroit financial review meeting on Monday: "This is white supremacy, and we will fight you. Before you can take over our city, we will burn it down first." Shabazz is upset that Governor Rick Snyder will appoint an emergency manager to run the city of Detroit if it cannot find a way to restructure the budget.

Why bother? The people of Detroit have made it a ghost town and they are bulldozing entire surrounding towns.
That city has been run by the socialist left since 1961. The unions controlled it for a good portion of the time and they got their socialist hacks elected at will.
Detroit aint worth it. Let em burn the dam place. It actually would make the place look better.

No doubt Detroit is a mess but there are many other cities in worse shape as far as debt is concerned. Cities like Chicago, St Louis, and LA are stacking on debt at a far greater rate with no signs of slowing down.
At some point, the piper will need to be paid and we’ll be smelling the smoke from Chicago all the way to east Michigan.

Look on the bright side LeDuff - if you burn Detroit down, think of the $ billions in skim-able funds that will come from the State and especially the Feds! You can buy a lot of street muscle with that amount of money!
Burn down Detroit? Promises, promises. If they do I hope they ask for suggestions for other cities to burn down.
But when they burn it down, make them live in it. No Section 8 vouchers moving the criminal element into suburban areas where the tax-paying, productive, law-abiding citizens become easy pickings.
And it’s interesting how once they became the majority in this city it was suddenly “their” city but when whites are a majority, the left has a fit about the lack of “diversity”. Only white areas require this “diversity”, they think.

As predicted, we are watching the death throes of the welfare state.
You assume that if they burn Detroit down, the cockroaches will stay........I would think that they would all flee to nearby functioning communities, reapplying for welfare, and then restart their magic in their new home.

All aide from what they call “white devils” should stop. They should not be allowed to move into white communities.
Detroit used to be beautiful but all it is now is one giant crime ridden slum. The blacks cannot survive without aide from whites. What surprises me is that the hard working black families who take care of what they have are not pitching a fit about the blacks who do not want to work for what they have.
They are biting the hand that has been feeding them for years.
