International outrage is growing over the disqualification of transsexual model Jenna Talackova from the finals of Miss Universe Canada.
With blond locks, long legs and delicate features, Talackova was a strong competitor in pageant but was disqualified, she says, because she used to be male, even though she made it to the finals of the contest.
The story has now flared through the British, U.S. and Canadian media in recent days, sparking online protests.
“This is discriminatory, unjust, and quite frankly disgusting,” said Oscar Dimant of Brooklyn, New York, listed as the author of the online petition at change.org.
“She is a woman and deserves to be treated as any other woman would be.”
The 23-year-old transgender model from Vancouver has accused the pageant of discrimination, and more than 30,000 supporters have now signed an online petition demanding her reinstatement.
One petition signator argued that Talackova is legally and physically a woman.

I’m presuming the Miss Universe contest is designed to be appealing, not a carnival side show displaying a freak that makes ya want to puke.

That’s consistent with a story told by a guy on one of those taxicab shows (which was actually interesting until they turned it into a perversion fest). He’d done it and was suicidal because he “no longer had feeling down there.”
Actually HIS body looks like sh**. Face is kinda feminine but he is still a man. Mutilation and hormone shots won’t change a man into a woman. He shouldn’t be allowed to compete as a woman and if he does he isn’t going to win much any way with those skinny a**ed legs.
There were two female-to-male individuals featured on a British program about transsexuals and both of them had a phalloplasty.
The one “man” had a huge scar on “his” forearm due to the fact that the skin was used to form a penis.
Have fun getting accustomed to having something between your legs that wasn't originally there!

It he has XY chromosomes, from my perspective what we have is doctors indulging profound mental illness with lots of plastic surgery.

At the risk of setting you up as the expert on all of this, how does it work “female-to-male?” Can Chaz Bono get it up? Does that require a pump? Inquiring minds probably don’t want to know.
Science can't change that.

Actually, it would be more accurate to say “Science determines that, and hackery can’t change it.”
It did NOT “used to be a male.” It IS a male. A genetic test will prove that. No matter how much a boy mutilates himself or is mutilated by doctors, he is still a male human being.
That's only because the legal system, like his body has been mutilated and twisted into some grotesque mutation of what it was intended to be.
