This is a very clear and complete tape of Zimmerman's 911 call.
Most important is Zimmerman's REPEATED assertions, after he had gotten out of his car to see where Martin was going, that Martin had disappeared from sight.
"He ran." "I don't know where he's at." And the dispatcher asks for Zimmerman's home address, to which he responds in a whisper: "(house number)..OH CRAP, I DON'T WANT TO SAY IT OUT LOUD. I DON'T KNOW WHERE HE'S AT."
He describes the neighborhood for cops who were on the way and tells him he will meet them at his car or the mailboxes. Supporting that he headed back to his car as he said all along.
This case is going to divide blacks and Whites/Hispanics. It's going to cost Obama the election.

The taco brigade in action.
Latino organizations dismiss George Zimmerman, question his ethnicity

Todos somos Trayvon! (We are all Trayvon!),”
Here’s the good thing - whatever ‘white guilt’ I had left - is gone.
I think you’re wrong about Hispanics in Florida... give me a link.

I agree. That language is inappropriate, and just provides the hard left with ammunition.
“I agree. That language is inappropriate, and just provides the hard left with ammunition.”
Yes, we must play their game.
Because they have a constitutional right to be free of being offended.
Minor point but it was not a 911 call. It was a non-emergency number he called.
“Because they have a constitutional right to be free of being offended.”
Nobody claimed anyone has a right to be free from being offended. Your language is not helpful. Period.
“I don’t think tacos are even a Peruvian dish.”
Irrelevant. The “brigade” in question is against Zimmerman.
I live in Florida - you're wrong. Send me the link... really.
That’s a pretty impressive laceration.
“Nobody claimed anyone has a right to be free from being offended. Your language is not helpful. Period.”
Well, well. The free speech bar just keeps getting raised higher and higher.
Now, not only must it be “non offensive”, it must additionally be “helpful”.
“I live in Florida - you’re wrong. Send me the link... really.”
I sent you a link. What do I need to do, translate it for you?
Isn’t La Raza basically a liberal left organization? Hispanics in Florida aren’t illegals working in liberals kitchens and back yards. They’re doctors, professionals - responsible good citizens. Many conservative...
Putting aside my general disgust at PCness and annoyance over the fact that only certain groups ever get to be offended, I will agree that referring to individual latinos/hispanics/whatever as being part of “the taco brigade” would be wrong. But when you have agitprop groups playing off their racial/ethnic makeup for political gain, it is perfectly acceptable to make fun of their racial/ethnic makeup, in my opinion. More than acceptable, actually, necessary. Race is too effective a silencer to be misused, and people who misappropriate it deserve to be ridiculed.
You can’t hide lefty ideals and Democrat hacksmanship behind the racial shield, no sir. And if that’s bad pragmatically, so be it. Minorities already don’t vote conservatively, and playing the PC game will only make it harder to recruit them, since libs are infinitely better at it.
“Isnt La Raza basically a liberal left organization?”
Basically? No, totally. And a racist one, to boot. Though for some reason they get off scott free, while anyone who identifies them as, say, “the taco brigade” might as well be Simon Legree.
“Isnt La Raza basically a liberal left organization? “
And where is the conservative Hispanic organization that will stand up and defend Zimmerman?
(...crickets chirping...)
“Helpful” as in your language is not helpful to OUR cause of limited government. What’s it like to be able to read, but not process information?
“Whats it like to be able to read, but not process information?”
Perhaps it’s akin to being able to read, but not being able to keep from being offended.
