The grieving parents of two British teenagers who were killed while on holiday in Sarasota, Florida in April, 2011, received justice this week; their murderer, Sean Tyson, was convicted on two counts of first-degree murder and awaits sentencing. But the pleas from the friends and families of the murdered teens for public acknowledgement of the tragedy from the President of the United States have gone unanswered. Before the Obama presidency, it would have been considered ludicrous for the White House to weigh into every politically relevant criminal act – but the president has invited this criticism by elevating several local controversies to national scandals for political gain.
James Cooper, 25, and James Kouzaris, 24, were killed in April of last year by the remorseless Sean Tyson. Led into an ally and shot several times for not having enough cash for Tyson’s liking. This week, Tyson was convicted. Justice, in this case, was done.
But the family and friends of the murdered teens have been reaching out to President Obama for weeks for him to weigh into the case. They have been met with silence and are now lashing out at the White House.
Two friends of the teens, Paul Davies and Joe Hallett, spoke for the grieving families outside the Florida court house where Tyson was convicted. “We would like to publicly express our dissatisfaction at the lack of any public or private message of support or condolence from any American governing body or indeed, President Obama himself,” Davies told the press. “Mr. Kouzaris has written to President Obama on three separate occasions and is yet to even receive the courtesy of a reply.”

I’m sorry, this is a horrible story, and I am grateful that justice has been served, but why does the “reporter” call the victims, aged 24 and 25, “teenagers” over and over?

Also, that’s mid-20s, not early 20s.
I’m sorry for the loss to these families but there’s no compelling reason for the Office of the President to “weigh in” on this case.
Besides....who knows WHAT the moron would say if he did decide to discuss it.
He’d probably blame the Brits who were killed.
That’s not the primary angle on this -
the primary angle is that this crime doesn’t advance the agenda. This story doesn’t gin up black race hatred to get them, as a group, incited to vote for 0bama at the least, and to riot as the ultimate goal.
This story doesn’t appeal to white guilt, without which 0bama isn’t president.
Brits don’t vote in U.S. elections; of course Obama ignored the grieving parents. If you can’t do something for Obama — deliver votes, give campaign money, serve an agenda — then you are irrelevant to the sociopath we call a President who views people only as paths to power. The President’s a scumbag, and like all sociopaths he cares only about himself and to the extent he thinks of others it’s only in the context of what they can do for him. This sad trait is actually pretty common in politicians and others who are obsessed with money and power.
Silly British, Obama will only call you and express his “Outrage” when he can gain politically from it. First it was Sandra Fluke(AKA the SLUT) her 15 min ran out, now its on to Trayvon Martin, once his 15 min of fame disappears he will move on to the next diversion. Besides, the murderer in this case was one of Obama’s “Sons” so of course he won’t call

No pic on this article but I googled the killer and, just as I thought, he is one of Bozo’s son look alikes. Funny how no one is raising he** over these two British subjects being killed for no reason what so ever(except they are white and didn’t have enough money on them)but one black teen who was trying to smash a guys face in and was killed in self defense gets all the a** kissing the Pres can give him. Isn’t that strange?
