Thank you maggie and Cbold for the info. I haven’t followed this case very closely. It sounds like the original report I read [about the unclaimed body] was just more misinformation. Seems like it takes a lot of time to keep up w what is true and not true in this case.

Thanks again.

A lot of misinformation out there, apparently.

One example. There was a witness who went on TV and radio claiming that there was no fight and that the police refused to take her testimony. The police told that TV station that they had taken a sworn statement from her and that her statement was consistent with Zimmerman’s claims.

The TV station responded by saying that the police have their job, and the media has its job.

I’d love to find out what the TV station believes is its JOB.

It would be easy enough to find out who was telling the truth, simply by looking at her sworn statement.

At this point, though, it sounds like the Martin family would say that the signature on the statement was forged, etc. They are claiming a full-blown conspiracy now.

That's true in any case. You can bet, because it is almost 100% certain, that when the story is "big news," the media is wrong, misleading, incomplete, and otherwise creating a false impression of reality. While the facts they publish have to be, for the most part, true, the presentation is never accurate, and never complete. Plus, most of what is presented as "news" is noting more than opinion - and the opinions are almost always based on misunderstanding or misapplication of law; fantasy facts; or a combination of both.

The media is worse than useless, it is a source of problems.
