CBS News) Police surveillance video that appears to conflict with a Florida neighborhood watch volunteer's account of a confrontation with the teenager he eventually gunned down, Trayvon Martin, was called "the icing on the cake" by the Martin family's attorney on "CBS This Morning" Thursday.
Attorney Ben Crump told Erica Hill and Charlie Rose that the video refutes George Zimmerman's claims of shooting Martin in self-defense. The video, obtained by ABC News, shows Zimmerman, without any obvious injuries, being led into police headquarters in Sanford, Fla., after the shooting. Zimmerman's father and lawyer have said Martin attacked Zimmerman in his gated community, breaking his nose with a punch to the face and slamming the back of his head against the sidewalk.
"Thank God for surveillance video," said Crump, "because obviously there was a conspiracy to cover up the truth and sweep Trayvon Martin's death under the rug, and as (Martin's mother) Sybrina Fulton said yesterday upon seeing this video, 'This is the icing on the cake.'"

That is a very good, though extremely sobering, condensation of Obama’s goals. He has a very small mind but exceedingly evil intentions. I wish we had somebody other than Romney to challenge him between now and Nov.
Btw, thanks for the Urban Dictionary cut-and-paste. What a resource that place is. Skittles indeed. And Obama’s ‘a little blow when we could get it’ no doubt referred to Kleenex.

he was...the funny thing is the story on the ABC news website with the video states exactly that- he was medically treated for his injuries then released and transported in a police cruiser only when he was medically cleared to travel...
it was nothing more than the criminal liberal media creating the news and throwing gas on the fire...
Sybrina Fulton said yesterday upon seeing this video, 'This is the icing on the cake.'"
You must understand the 'context' of Sybrina's comment. She has applied for registered trademark of two phrases (I AM TRAYVON and something else equally inane), and with hopes that the video will incite others, she can see the money rolling in.
Heck, some black athletes and movie stars are giving millions to the Black Panthers (who intend on keeping the money).
The officer's name is SMITH.
You're welcome, though I doubt the "Skittles" drug slang reference applies in this case. Do you know where the reference comes from? Did he (Trayvon) mention buying 'Skittles' prior to the incident? Still, that alone, even if he meant buying drugs instead of the candy, wouldn't justify the shooting. The nose and head injuries might, however. I'll bet it was a 'sucker punch' that floored Zimmerman allowing the skinny punk the opportunity to then pound him in the head while he lay on the ground.
BTW: it wasn't a cut & paste, but rather a cropped screen capture. :)
Thanks. Again, nice job.
how long does it take for swelling to appear? How long does it take to whipe blood off your face and then not have more? Geez you would think that the media never leaves the safety of their control rooms and broadcast centers...wait they don’t expeciall if they live in NYC or LA.
Do these morons actually believe that the police report was falsified? Really? Are they that freaking dumb?
I find it interesting that the Police video does not have a Date-Time stamp in the frame. We have no idea when this video was taken or even if it is real at all. Do we know that it is a Police video or something from the sound stage of ABC.
I must have read your post wrong. It looked like you were saying Trayvon’s mother is the one who uttered the repulsive comment, ‘This is the icing on the cake’. That simply could not be true. I have a son. It is unthinkable that such a phrase would, under these circumstances, enter my mind. If he died/was killed, there would be no more icing on the cake ever—that is, this side of heaven.
I hope I read your post wrong, anyway. Otherwise...words fail.
The story coming from Martin’s side has not been real consistent from the beginning. Some of that blame probably lies with the “News Reporters”. But Martin’s father sure has had a problem keeping his story straight.
I read that his father said Trayvon was going out to buy Skittles for his younger brother, prior to being shot. After having been wrong once on this thread already, I cannot vouch for the accuracy of that quote. It seems that some things which came out early in the incident are simply not true.
As for the cropped screen capture—thanks for explaining that. I knew it looked really good; I just had no idea why. ;)
A lot of people ARE that dumb. However, the communists and race-baiters don't usually believe the crap they propagate. Imagine, in this day and age especially, police tampering with evidence in a murder case to protect someone. The guy wasn't even a cop.
:: Travon’s father called the police the next day (to report missing son), and learned about the incident later that day. ::
This to me is an interesting aside to the story.
I’ve heard that the altercation/shooting took place some 200 feet (unconfirmed, to my current knowledge) from the apartment where is father was, apparently, watching the NBA All-Star game.
Yet, he missed the gun-shot, the multiple sirens, and the commotion just outside his door.
He did not miss his son -who was staying with him because of disciplinary problems- until the next morning (on his FIRST evening with “Dad”). And, Dad’s first reaction was to see if he had been arrested.
There appear to be some unconnected “dots” in this side-story.
I read the father and his GF went out to dinner so they were NOT at home when the incident happened. He had the GF make a few calls to see if juvie hall or LE had picked up his son then WENT TO BED.
Next morning, no Trayvon, calls brother (or cousin) and finds out the the movie presumption was false.
I'm giving dad the benefit of the doubt - he might be somebody you'd love to have as a best friend.
You are right I know I do not like what I am seeing and hearing from the race baiters.Add in the hispanic community who has to be disgusted that one of their own is being targeted and lynched.....
Thanks for that bit. Clears a few things up but leads to some more wonderings.
The 1st night at Dad’s for disciplinary reasons and Dad leaves him alone with his little brother, ostensibly to watch the game.
Dad let’s him head to the 7/11 to get skittles while knowing he (dad) won’t be home when travon gets back.
I guess i’ll chalk this up as “bad parenting”.
That's the first I've heard of any toxicology results. Do you have a link/source?
