Elderly couple abandons their home after address is posted on Twitter as that of George Zimmerman read the headline of an article yesterday in the Orlando Sentinel. Spike Lees twitter account went into Radio Silence yesterday morning after it was revealed he mistakenly tweeted to over 247,000 twitter followers the address of an elderly Florida couple instead of George Zimmermans address, the man who shot Trayvon Martin. Mr. Lees tweet resulted in hate mail, strangers dropping by, and other disturbances that panicked the couple who then fled from their home for fear of their lives. It remains to be seen if Spike Lee will contact the couple to assist them financially with the costs associated with their having to abandon their home or at minimum publicly apologize to them for his putting their lives in danger.
The Hollywood Reporter was reporting last night that the Elderly Couple at Address Spike Lee Tweeted Are Living in Fear as some of Lees twitter followers tweeted, Lets turn up the heat on his bitch ass!!! and Get this mutha f#####!! as the followers retweeted the elderly couples address after being misled by Spike Lee.
As some criticized George Zimmerman for going into hiding, Spike Lee apparently took a similar cowardly route. A call placed to Lee's office in New York was answered by a man who said the film director was unavailable for comment. Unbelievable!
Perhaps Spike Lee should rethink his silence and follow the title of his academy award nominated film and Do the Right Thing and stop inciting racial tensions that could result in potential violence to innocent individuals.
Mr. Lee we, and these old folks in Florida, await your apology.

*** If we lose and BHO gets his second term, we may not see any future elections. ***
How can that be? I’m told over and over again here at FR that a second Obama term is far preferable to electing Romney.
The die is cast, Romney vs. Obama. With so many staying home, guess it will be Obama.
That’s better, right?

Well, the problem with that reasoning, is that Obama may well have at least two Supreme Court appointments in the next four years, if he’s re-elected.
If Obama is re-elected, I certainly hope it’s paired with Republicans taking the Senate in November’s elections. That’s all I can say.

I am not a person who thinks ‘sue’ in every situation, but I’m thinking sue here.
Even if it had been the right address, it was a horrible thing to do.
This couple should have a couple mil of Spike’s stash within weeks.

Is the elderly couple white? If so, Spike Lee does not give a rats behind and is probably glad he did it. Therell be no apology unless theyre black. He'll likely say, "So what? They was white, wasn't they?"

“How can that be? Im told over and over again here at FR that a second Obama term is far preferable to electing Romney.”
As if the Communist-In-Chief hadn’t already done enough, it would seem that his latest “open-mike gaffe” regarding missile defense and his race-pimping of the Trayvon Martin case would make folks re-think that position. Jeez...will anything this destructive Marxist idiot does trump their hatred of Romney? And no, I’m not a “Romney-bot” for anyone wanting to post that foolishness.

"Better to lose, and control Congress, and have a better GOP candidate for 2016, than to have Romney win, and not have a decent Republican candidate for 2016."
Good point but the key phrase is "control Congress." If BHO gets reelected but we win enough seats to control both chambers of Congress, we can (to a certain degree) keep BHO in check.
But if we fail to hold the House and re-take the Senate, we'll be exactly where we are right now but at an even steeper and faster descent. And heaven help us if we lose the House.

Spike Lee doesn’t need an apology. He needs an ass kicking. If that was my family, I would beat the hell out of that little bitch. An apology ain’t worth nothing. Sue his ass for IIED, or handle this outside the law so he learned a lesson that he’s accountable for his actions one way or the other.

"Thats better, right?"
I assume that is sarcasm since of course it would not be better.
But I agree with you that any vote not going to a GOP candidate is a vote that was never cast against BHO, so therefore those staying home and refusing to vote in effect are allowing BHO to be reelected. Just like they allowed him to ascend to his throne in 2008 by refusing to vote for McCain.
Makes not one whit of sense to me. If Romney ultimately becomes the GOP candidate (which I pray he does not), I will hold my nose and vote for him, just like I did McCain.
Why would I do that? Yes, I am well aware that Romney is a RINO, but I would rather have a RINO that can be controlled by the GOP (even if we only keep the House), than have a full-blown, unapologetic 100% Marxist remain in office so that he can finish what he started.
McCain was not my preferred candidate in 2008. Romney is by no means my preferred candidate this go-round. But there is no such thing as the "perfect" conservative candidate because we all have faults, so it makes no sense to pull the "principles" card and just pout at home on election day.
My point is to at least put someone in office with an (R) next to their name that We the People can keep reined in. We apparently can't rein in BHO.

This crap almost makes me use the n word. Ill admit it makes me think it a lot. And thats too bad. It was gone from my vocabulary until obama started his destruction of this nation. Seconded. "Thug Nation" is no longer just a rap group, it's a description for today's America.
