Brit Hume v. Sarah Palin

Rick Santorums profanity-laced outburst at Jeff Zeleny of the New York Times has elicited a fair amount of comment in the political world, as one might imagine including among Fox News analysts. If youd like to hear two very different interpretations of Senator Santorums reaction, you can watch Brit Hume here and Sarah Palin here.
Hume wasnt harsh in his critique of Santorum, saying he was probably fatigued and showed some exasperation, but added that Zeleny is a reasonable guy who asked a legitimate question and would have taken Santorum at his word when it came to a clarification. Palin, on the other hand, said this:
Santorums response to that liberal-leftist, in-the-tank for Obama press character really revealed some of Rick Santorums character. And it was good and it was strong and it was about time because hes saying enough is enough of the liberal media twisting a conservatives words, putting words in his mouth, taking things out of context and even just making things up. So when I heard Rick Santorums response, I was like Well, welcome to my world Rick and Good on ya. Dont retreat. You are saying enough is enough. I was that glad he called out this reporter. He and the other candidates all of them need to do more of this. Because believe me the American people are tired of what that leftist media continue to do to conservatives.

Brit does not like anyone who actually believes God when he says homosexuality is immoral. He likes romney because he know romney has and will push the gay agenda. This stems from the unfortunate suicide of his son who was gay.

Excellent. I certainly think that Sarah is right and Brit is wrong on this one. I watched the YouTube video and thought that Santorum handled it very well. And I think any reasonable person watching it would have thought the same.

So I guess Brit would be okay if I asked Mitt if he’s stopped beating his wife yet? Or if Mitt is still married to all of the wives he’s ever had?

I’m a Sarah Palin supporter, and I will continue to be one. But there are some rare times when she has been wrong on an issue. This is one of them.
It’s not that she’s wrong about the reporter or that Santorum waws right to call him out. I agree with her on that much.
But Santorum’s choice of language was wrong because there were small children on the rope line who heard it. I’m sure Santorum didn’t stop and think about that, but then again, that’s his problem. He rarely engages his brain before he shoots off his mouth.

Brit’s son was gay? I didn’t know that. And yet, Brit lives in DuPont Circle.

Not only was Brit Hume's son gay, Mr. Hume blames Newt Gingrich for “outing” his son who ultimately committed suicide.

Sadly, most kids today could melt your eardrums with the language they understand and could use.

But I believe Brit’s son committed suicide the day after he got arrested for drunk driving. So I’m not sure how Newt could be blamed for that. If Brit was a liberal then he could blame Bush.

99.9% of everything you hear about Newt is made up to ruin him. It's an evil campaign against him and it's one of the most despicable things out there. Lefties are scared to death of him because he threatens their power. They trash Sarah the same way, and really did a job on Ollie North in the past. It's a damn shame this lynch mob stuff catches on.

I personally don't know if Newt was responsible for outing Brit's son or not. Just stating the reason that Hume literally foams at the mouth when Newt's name is mentioned.
Lefties should be scared of Newt. The leftist machine, which IMO includes the media, has doused many good people with their vile half-truths.

Brit Hume’s son was gay? This is the first I’ve heard about this. Is that why he left his full-time Fox News gig?
To: who_would_fardels_bear
I'm sorry. I read a post where everyone was talking about it like it was fact and common knowledge. I did not mean to slander them. I just really thought it was true.
