BACKLASH: Explosive New York Post Cover Says The Trayvon Martin Shooting Is Being Exploited By 'Race Hustlers'
Michael Brendan Dougherty
March 27, 2012
The pushback on the Trayvon Martin story is now getting ferocious.
Today's New York Post has a provocative (or offensive) cover saying that "Race Hustlers" are exploiting the tragedy of Trayvon Martins' death. At least they are still calling it a "tragedy" today.
On the cover are three New York state senators, Kevin Parker, Bill Perkins, and Eric Adams, who wore hoodies in solidarity with the rallies for Martin across the nation.

Exploitation ?
Get use to it! The election aint til November!
From “Rules for Radicals”:
“’The organizer’s first job is to create the issues or problems,’ and ‘organizations must be based on many issues.’ The organizer ‘must first rub raw the resentments of the people of the community; fan the latent ...hostilities of many of the people to the point of overt expression. He must search out controversy and issues, rather than avoid them, for unless there is controversy people are not concerned enough to act. . . . An organizer must stir up dissatisfaction and discontent.’”
Sounds like urban myth. It's more likely that hoods became popular for the same reason that KKK hoods were popular: to conceal your identity from casual observation.
A guy wearing a hoodie is going to have his face being less visible to security cameras, and is less likely to be recognized at a distance by rival thugs.
are you talking about the “white hispanic” vote?
That is what they're saying - shame on them.
I actually read a comment on Twitter where someone said Dick Cheney got Trayvon’s heart...and that it was all evil whites who just gutted him for his organs. I thought who thinks this crap up?
Your link shows just who does.
If you posted your comment as-is, it would look like ...

An organizer must stir up dissatisfaction and discontent. In other words, lies, lies and more lies. You know I was watching Fox Business channel the other night and listening to a bunch of no nothings talk about this extremely unfortunate and sad event. A woman who purported to be a legal beagle pronounces that there were no eye witnesses. Well earlier in the day with few clicks of a mouse turned up reports of an eye witness who said he saw Martin beating up on Zimmerman. Must say it is absolutely frustrating. I hope I survive the election!
This could wind up being a lot worse than the Rodney King riot--it could be national (like after Martin Luther King, Jr., was killed). Rodney King was merely beaten, not killed, and people weren't bombarded with angelic pictures of a 12-or 13-year-old day after day. If Zimmerman isn't put on trial, or if he is not sentenced to a long prison term, there could be widespread riots.
But at the rate things are going I think it's likelier that he will be murdered as a retaliation killing.
Actually a trial might not serve Obama as well, because any verdict would likely be after the election.
As recently as last summer, a black guy I give a ride to sometimes pointed it out to me. Said he was part of that BS of wearing the hood as a way of showing he hated whites when he was younger.
So it's still around.
I worked with guys that were Black Klan in the late 70’s.
As far as I know both got out of it when they realized the white man wasn't the cause of all the black problems.
They are do rags, not dew rags.
It is to cover the “do”.
Jesse, Al, etc are transparent. But they could not without serious help make this story the number one topic for the last week. Particularly since the event happened a month ago. Bigger players then Jesse and Al are behind this power play and now we know that it’s Obama and the Democrat Party.
The predator class is furious that their prey are shooting back.......May I use that as my new tagline?
I was watching Bill O’Reilly last night. Apparently neither he nor his staff found updated information I was able to glean from the internet in about a half hour before I left work yesterday afternoon which supports a self defense shooting. If he would have done the work, he would have realized that the story he, the race hustlers, and the Laimstream media are selling us is a pack of lies. O’Reilly is just a politically correct hack, just not quite as bad a MSNBC. He was speaking out of pure ignorance last night still inditing the real victim in this tragedy, Zimmerman. He has joined the rest of the leftist media with their lynch mob, rush-to-judgement, don't confuse me with the facts, mentality.
http://www.spartacus.schoolnet.co.uk/USAlynching.htm
“Between 1865 and 1965 over 2400 African Americans were lynched in the United States. Even after the passing of the Civil Rights Act (1964) lynchings continued in the Deep South. The most significant of these was the Michael Donald case.”
the nearly 200,000 white victims number came from many sources....this is very difficult to ascertain because it is a red hot topic:
it was over 179,000 eight years ago and keeps climbing whereas lynchings have been almost zilch since 1960
google “The FBI reports that there were 806,316 homicides in the US between 1965 and 2004” and weed thru the good the bad and the ugly...the total homicide number is accurate but you have to work hard to find much on the racial aspect...we have a blackout..no pun intended except from often from sites banned here...and banned for good reason...but that doesn't mean their data is de facto wrong...just what their resolution may be
Absolutely!
I know of at least one other FReeper who has done the same.
“I was agreeing with your prediction”
I understand that. More incoming, no question. O’Reilly seems to try to walk a fine line and not get trapped into something that will turn into a Rushburn. Must admit I don’t watch O’Reilly much and I don’t watch TV much. When I do I get the screamers!
Later they redefined the term so if three or more people were involved in a murder it could be classified as a lynching. Emmett Till was murdered but there were only two men involved. James Byrd was murdered by three men. To call such cases "lynchings" may be effective propaganda but in neither case was there a crowd giving its approval.
This is not meant to deny that these were horrible murders, in many cases involving torture, very often of completely innocent people. Even when the person lynched had committed a crime it should have been dealt with by the legal system, not by a mob.
