With a single punch, Trayvon Martin decked the neighborhood watch volunteer who eventually shot to death the unarmed 17-year-old, then climbed on top of George Zimmerman and slammed his head into the sidewalk several times, leaving him bloody and battered, authorities told The Orlando Sentinel.
That is the account Zimmerman gave police, and much of it has been corroborated by witnesses, authorities said.

I hate to jerk you back to reality but this kid Trayvon was a bad seed and unfortunately he ran into a situation that called for good judgement. He didn’t have it and now he is no longer with us. There is a reason for the expression “sh@t happens”.
No, stupid, you are supposed to *divine* the mind of your attacker while being pummeled! Any REASONABLE person would have known that good ol’ Tray was just playin’!
If you were just a more empathetic and caring individual who didn’t eat so much red meat and drive such a big SUV you’d understand!
NO doubt the dispatcher should have hunted up Trayvon and told him about that. He appears (according to Zimmerman’s 911 calls) to have retreated at least three earlier times.
Is "there" the gated community, or is "there" the Orlando community?
It seems to me that the answer to this is important. It's also important if this error in the reporting was inadvertent, or was intentionally misleading.
Maybe a few more thugs thinking “that guy might shoot me if I jump him” would be a good thing.
“Before you call that ‘blaming the victim’, Zimmerman had a pistol on him and imagined that made him safe.”
Ah, now you are demonizing him for carrying a gun, which is legal in Florida.
Against self defense, against vigilance in protecting a neighborhood, against carrying a gun, “for” the poor little black boy attacking Zimmerman and beating his bloody head into the pavement.
You are revealing quite about yourself, and it is all ugly.
I’m curious, what are you doing on a “conservative” forum?
Zimmerman should not have fired until Zimmerman was dead. Only then would he know he was in danger...< / sarcasm >
I think I see the problem.
You are nuts?
At one time a really enjoyed his posts. Now he's a shining example of why FR needs an ignore button.
Brilliant post! Let’s use your logic...
I’ve never been raped in my life, therefore rape never happens! Or, if it does, it is the fault of the person being raped because CLEARLY they put themselves in a bad situation.
When it does happen, just refer back to the Zimmerman story/incident. It will be a carbon copy of how the Zimmerman story/incident played out. Particularly if the mob participants happen to be Black. I have yet to hear of a White or Hispanic “flash mob”. Not saying they don’t exist. I just haven’t heard of them.
Have you been drinking this morning? You are incoherent.
Martin “retreated”... while Zimmerman was paying attention to him. But, when Zim turned his back and walked away, Martin attacked from behind.
Poor little innocent skittle eatin’ honor student.
“No the question here is what is the other hand doing? Why is the MSM focusing so hard on a month old story that truly has no legs? What is it that the other Obama hand is doing that they don’t want us to notice?”
Making deals with Putin.
Trayvon is missing the magic ingredient ~ no time spent in prison. If his record had included that Zimmerman wouldn’t even have known he was around.
I note that our esteemed leader, Barack Obama, has done nothing to address the “fringe group” New Black Panthers and their $10,000 reward on Zimmerman. The FBI (or some legal authority) needs to be protecting Z because of this and pursuing NBP legally.
Yeah, how else would you confirm that your life is in danger until you actually died?
If this is what happened, Zimmerman should walk.
