The Talk Shows
March 25th, 2012
Guests to be interviewed today on major television talk shows:
FOX NEWS SUNDAY (Fox Network): Rep. Paul Ryan, R-Wis.; White House adviser David Plouffe.
MEET THE PRESS (NBC): Plouffe; Gov. Brian Schweitzer, D-Mont.; former Gov. Haley Barbour, R-Miss.; Ben Jealous, president and CEO of the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People.
FACE THE NATION (CBS): Republican presidential candidate Rick Santorum; Rep. Paul Ryan; Sen. Chuck U. Schumer, D-N.Y.
THIS WEEK (ABC): Plouffe; Rep. Michele Bachmann, R-Minn.
STATE OF THE UNION (CNN): Plouffe; Sen. Linda Graham, R-S.C.; Gov. Rick Scott, R-Fla.
Ryan’s budget is timid, but probably all the legislators can stomach at this time. The good news is a republican Prez. and congress that will allow our new found energies to produce has the potential to reverse many decades of negligence, malfeasance, stupidity, etc..
Plouffe is treading water on Obama and the oil issue with Chris Wallace. He has the old “deer in the headlights” look.
He needs to correct this, quickly.
Morning, AB. Only one candidate this morning and Paul Ryan.
Wouldn’t mind seeing him with Chris Wallace.
George on ABC shows polls that people don’t want the health care bill. Plouffe’s arguments - most of the laws don’t even take place until 2014 , blah, blah, blah, and
then he refers to the father of the invidual mandate - Mitt Romney -chaching - there it is.
George asks about gay issues (and they have so many), Plouffe tells about all the ways he has promoted fairness in that area.
Thanks, From the Deer Stand. Plouffe slammed Gingrich’s comments on the Trayvon Martin. Said he should end his political career with dignity, not this.
Now George asks Michelle Bachman - says race shouldn’t be an issue in this.
On presidential campaign - the quicker we get a candidate, the better, but the people need to decide (upcoming primaries). George reminds Bachmann that Jeb, DeMint are saying the time is now. Bachmann says let the people decide (Power to the People!)
George brings up the etch a sketch remarks....Bachmann turns the conversation to the upcoming Supreme Court health care bill issue. She wrote the bill to repeal the obamacare. Any candidate will make this issue front and center.
She’s doing a GREAT job slamming obamacare. Gallop poll syas 72% say the bill is unconstitutional.
Our nominee will make this issue the Numero uno (a little spanish lingo) issue. (ruh-roh, Michelle, Plouffe is calling Romney the “father of the individual mandate”. How will ROmney deal with that?)
Up next? The Trayvon Martin issue. Can’t wait.
West must have fallen into the media trap that happens to all of us on occasion. We have to constantly remind ourselves that what we hear or read in the news may not be true, and often is not if it’s at all political.
ABC, Round Table, the Trayvon Martin issue. George plays a variety of clips with a nice acoustical guitar piece accompanying the video (????)
George Will - the stand your ground law is a bad idea.
Donna Brazile - George is right on law. Stand your ground ends up with people in the ground. She’s on a neighborhood watch; they don’t carry guns, profile people. Brings up the “talk”, about the “code” given to young black man.
Cookie - Zimmerman obviously this is the problem with guns - gives you a false sense of power. The Gun is the problem. (lol, can’t believe she said that....oh, wait, yes I can)
Terry Moron - stand your gound bad law
...Matthew Dowd -Says he hopes this does not become a War on Blacks issue (in the campaign). ( Cha-ching - that was the whole point of this going national. The community agitator in chief needs issues like this to gotv)
Bachmann is a ‘Warrior’ ...... reminds me of something I saw the other day: “You don’t have bigger balls than me .... mine had to be put on my chest to avoid chaffing!”
Now, if some of the Republican leaders could just ‘find’ theirs (Boehner, McConnell, et al) and stand up against Obama & for America, maybe we’d have a chance to turn the ship of state away from the whirling vortex.
OMG!
Now they are on going on and on about Emmet Till and Rosa Parks and poor Trayvon.
Ginning up the racial hatred...that doris Kern is one sick B. this is an electronic, media lynching of Zimmerman.
Only Haley Barber said lets wait till we find out the facts.
This is unreal!! the whole show revisiting the racial hatred..NOT ONE word about WHY Black youth are viewed as fearful...Could it be there is a disproprtionate number that are Thugs in Hoodies. Not one word about the ghetto culture. Not one word about Black culture and Black on Black crime.
This is so sickening..but then it WILL energize the Black and Liberal vote, and isn’t that was this is all about.
God, I hate Liberals!
ABC, George brings up the etch a sketch comment. Matthew Dowd thinks it IS a big deal...it creates a visual that people understand. Brings up Louisisna, the leading candidate, ROmney, loses the state by 20 points. very unusual .....compares it to 1976.
Cookie on Ryan’s plan - it doesn’t have taxes (on the rich), it plays into the whole unfairness arguement.
Dowd is giving progressive democrats advice on how they should deal with the budget. They SHOULD take on medicare, SS, otherwise there won’t be any money in the discretionary budget to invest in important things - roads, education, EPA (LOLOLOLOL)
The media, Bowbama and the adoring sychophants fueling the flames.
ABC shows clip that people have been waiting in line for three days in front of the Supreme Court. (WOW, Power to the People!)
Terry Moron - why should SC halt the debate? This is a hot political issue, let the people thrash this out. SC shouldn’t have taken it.
George WIll - disagrees. The circuits are in conflict; the SC should take it. Brings up interstate commerce,
Cookie - healthcare is different - we will all participate in the HC system one way or another.
Brazile - LAw is constitutional and fair (WOW)
Matthew Dowd - SC will be affected by politics. Romney cannot make an authentic argument. If the law is overturned, it helps obama (george will agrees) (Hey, he’ll frame it as the War on Healthcare)
Didn’t you get the memo? This Trayvor Martin issue is being framed as the Republicans War on Blacks(IMO). (Matthew Dowd on ABC actually referred to it) Gotta get your base energized.
Hey, even if we, God forbid, don't win the Presidency, my feeling is we'll gain control of the Senate and keep control of the House and the HC law won't see the light of day...at least under those circumstances. So, call it a War On Heathcare if they wish. We'll win the battle and the war!
Lol. Yes, Bachmann is great. She will be in the SC listening to the case. Good.
Healthcare has passed Congress. o will veto any attempt to repeal it. That is why we need the WH, too.
