In remarks after President Obama made his first public comment on the matter, former Pennsylvania senator Rick Santorum said Friday that the handling by Florida law enforcement of the Trayvon Martin case has been “horrible” and that the state’s “Stand Your Ground” law should not apply to the shooter, George Zimmerman.
“Well, ‘Stand Your Ground’ is not doing what this man did,” Santorum said Friday morning at a campaign event in Monroe, La. “There’s a difference between ‘Stand Your Ground’ and doing what he did. And it’s a horrible case. It’s chilling to hear what happened, and of course the fact that law enforcement didn’t immediately go after and prosecute this case is another chilling example of horrible decisions made by people in this process.”
Zimmerman, a 28-year-old neighborhood watch captain, has not been charged in the shooting.

Blacks have taken to calling lynching the Black Holocaust. I think comparing 3446 summary executions, over 86 years, of suspected black criminals by vigilante groups vs over 4000 executions per day of Jewish men, women and children over a 4-year period by the Nazis is quite a stretch.

There was a young thug robbing a drug store in Okc recently who got dead when the pharmasist plugged him behind the counter. The pharmacist got life in prison for defending himself while the just-out-of-prison felon will skate soon enough.

Not quite east coast, but I spent most of my life where Hispanics are nonexistent if that is what you are getting at. In fact, I've spent almost my entire life in the least Hispanic city in the country, Pittsburgh, before moving further midwest recently.

I like Santorum, but statements like this are characterized by too many unsupported assertions.
How does Santorum know that law enforcement did not perform its duties? What is wrong with trusting the system to present the facts, and then making statements? I am disappointed in Rick.

Regardless, he was listening to a bad recording of a 9/11 call with screaming in the background. I would be interested to find out how many recordings like that he had previously heard of his son by way of comparison.

The eyewitness said the guy on the ground wearing a red sweater was the one calling for help.
