A good teacher would take the opportunity to issue a pop quiz. Those that walked out would, of course, get a failing grade on the quiz.

Once upon a time in America, the wiser, more knowledgeable adults ran things, and kids respectfully, did as they were told.

Then came the Leftist counteculture.....

Thank you. You're so much more useful than the MSM. But you probably knew that. :)

"Give a test on the day's subject, fail them, and nail them for truancy!

I concur. However, this incident has been nationally sensationalized. The principals of the various schools therefore will never have the guts to penalize the walking-out students....who, by the way, are now the inmates running the asylum.

The media is eating all this up, having orgasms every time some new idiocy pops up in regard to the shooting, whether it's the premature hanging of the shooter, or whether it's new celebrities on the growing list of has-beens and wannabes, or high school kids beachcotting classes, or Al Sharpton or Michael Moore spouting off at the mouth and posturing all over the place.

I'm just waiting for Obamamamama to poke his nose into this case. He probably doesn't want any part of it, but he knows his main base (black voters) will be expecting a statement from him pronto. Any bets on what he'll do?

The media cares, Holder cares, liberals care; enough said, and wait till the riots begin, if this hispanic vigilante doesn’t get arrested soon.

Nonsense. The whole thing is about a white (hispanic) man killing a black one. Justification or not is peripheral at best to the coverage.

Once Sharpton and his group get involved, it does become a media circus with racism taking center stage under the big tent. HOWEVER - none of that makes the question of justification irrelevant.

There are a whole lotta "ifs" circling this situation and calling for an investigation is not unreasonable. On the other hand, calling for the lynching of Zimmerman is and that is unfortunately the way things have turned. That doesn't nullify the need for an investigation though.

White, black, Hispanic, whatever - this still comes down to a question of whose actions are justified under the Florida's Stand Your Ground law.

Was Zimmerman justified in calling the police to report a "suspicious person?" Yes.

Would he be justified in keeping said suspicious person in sight? Yes.

Would he be justified in approaching said person? That seems to depend on how he approached that person AND how that approach was perceived - "hey man, you live around here...can I help you find an address?" or "hey asshole, stop right there! You aren't gonna get away with anything time!" The former approach is perfectly reasonable; the latter could give Martin justification for "standing his ground" under the law. IF Zimmerman also went as far as approaching Martin in a "threatening" manner i.e. flashing his gun/holster, etc., then Martin was also justified under the law to defend himself. Zimmerman had zero authority to demand any type of compliance from Martin.

If Zimmerman did not approach Martin (or even if he approached him in a non-threatening manner) and Martin jumped him, the shooting, while tragic, would be justifiable under the law.

That old saying about there being three or more sides to the truth seems to apply perfectly here. An investigation is the best way to reconcile all the sides.

They should all walk-out and never return. The whole student body, on average, has a success rate of 50%, so those students who ditched should bring the rate up 25% or so. I used to go to schoool in Florida where the idiots who ran the educational system there decided it was only fair that white kids on the beach-side of town, go to the mainland via bussing; the savages aboard smoked grass, cigarettes, stomped on the ground, yelling slurs at the white kids-—myself and neighbors. I told my dad that if he didn’t drive me to school, that I should not be expected to go to that God forsaken school. He refused, being a liberal asshole and all, so I stopped going for good. My stupid dad couldn’t, or wouldn’t admit to his error, and just stoppped asking me for my report card. I will never forgive him for refusing to support me, and would rather the wolves eat my flesh than protect me, should be a crime against humanity.

Nice perspective you have there.... Some of us see it that Zimmerman would have been better off if he had left the innocent kid alone. I guess you have your prioities though.

Don't be silly. Of course he was an idiot to pursue Trayvon. What is ironic is that with the mob screaming for his arrest, I note that it would have actually been better for him if he had been. I have no agenda.

Sorry, but my opinion is based strictly on the tapes and what is known beyond dispute -

Martin was a guest of a resident, he was unarmed, he was walking home -

Zimmerman followed him in his car (just how slow do you think he had to go to follow a guy on foot - stalking speed) -

Zimmerman got out of his car to follow him on foot -

zimmerman has a history of acting as if he were trained LEO -

Zimmerman was armed - Zimmerman shot Martin.

Yours is obviously based on a blogger's rendition.

Who do they think they are???

Judging by the Million Hoodie March that they were attending, I'd say that they think they're community organizers. From what I've seen, there's no shortage of attention being paid to Trayvon's death. NBC doesn't have an affilliate somewhere in the southern Florida area? Coulda been done by video. Maybe their little darling should have been spending his suspension from school in his room, hitting the books, rather than wandering the streets at night. Just a thought.

Community organizers —— not aggrieved parents -— got it, although I do wonder where guys like you come from.

Aggreived? Seemed pretty together on the TODAY Show. Managed to get to the airport, through TSA and on a plane without any trouble. Was this guy their lawyer a week ago? Could this have been handled by them in a Florida studio? When’s the funeral? After the media runs off to The Next Big Story?

You want to argue that the parents can't be grieving because they made to the airport and managed to get on a plane?

I still wonder where guys like you come from.

Do they have other kids? Seems like the extended family would be gathering for a funeral. But, hey....a free trip to the Big Apple and a sit-down with Matt Lauer. Hot damn.

The funeral was a month ago...but don’t let ignorance of the facts keep you from being a fool.

Beery funny reply, LOL!

I see that two of Obama's advisors are hiding in the bushes....evidently not invited to a seat at the party.

STAY OUTTA DA BUSHES!

Well, I guess they’re at liberty to milk the “crisis” for all it’s worth. We all grieve in our own way. I guess blaming whitey comes before acceptance. As for ignorance of the facts, what can I say...I watch NBC, and they haven’t broadcast any that didn’t fit their template. In my book, he’s just another dead f***-up.
