Virginia middle school teacher is under fire after making his students do "opposition research" on Republican presidential candidates, according to a report.
Eighth-graders at Liberty Middle School in Fairfax County were assigned to research the backgrounds and positions of Mitt Romney, Rick Santorum, Newt Gingrich and Ron Paul and find any weaknesses, according to The Daily Caller.
The students were then required to draft a strategy paper, mapping out how to exploit those weaknesses and then research how to forward it to the Obama campaign.

WHATTTTT????????
I thought they started partisan brain washing in elementary school
This guy sounds like adevotee of Bill Ayers’ radicalization of the education system
She should be fired. The ‘press’ will give her a free ride. Elites are soooooo impressed with each other:

Sounds like an appropriate exercise for Poli Sci students in a university who want to work on campaigns some day.
Totally inappropriate for students at a public middle school.
Kids in Chicago can't read - another 'gift' from Bill Ayers.
Cannot render a verdict without a picture.
This a clear example why government schools are not preparing our children for life. Why aren’t they teaching history to these kids?
Also take note that the articles said the kids were divided into four groups. I am sick and tired of my own children telling me they have yet another group project. We all know how that works. One or two kids do all the work, and the rest take the grade/credit. Makes you wonder why 49% of people don’t pay federal income taxes.
Simply because those that fail to learn from history are doomed to repeat it.
He, not she............
He’s probably ugly............
LOL - I should have read the article instead of post #4. In that case - GUILTY!
The bastard should be fired for this. This is beyond rediculous (although par for the course at a government indoctrination center)
This group work thing makes me wonder.
I’m taking a course in Medical Coding to be certified.
The teacher can’t stress “study groups” enough. Personally I study better alone. She always pushes study groups i.e. those in study groups did better on tests etc.
I think a study group actually wastes a ton of time.....
Bookmark.
“Also take note that the articles said the kids were divided into four groups.”
Five groups, to include opposition research on Hussein, would’ve been more tolerable. I hope some parents raise a major stink about this and/or consider homeschooling.
The parents should storm the school with pitchforks and torches and kick this “teacher” to the curb.
Most middle-school kids are smart enough to understand what the teacher was trying to do. I would have reported back that I couldn’t find anything wrong with any of the Repub candidates, but that I’d found plenty wrong with the current occupier of the White House, and request permission to write about that (and submit it to the RNC).
Define “most”........
Thanks.
