Good evening Markos & love your home page!
Aloha Bigsie.....a bad day for you? *hugs*
((((((((((((CONNIE!!!!!!!!SIS!!!!!!!!!!!))))))))))
HOW U B?
XOXOXO
Our very own "Libertina" is working on the design of my website. Once that is ready, I can move on to the next item, a lecture on an amendments convention. I'll market that along with my federalism lecture. The idea is to market MP3 downloads, not actual CD's.
At the Tea Party, I've demoted myself to Technical Secretary to handle our website, Golden Isles Tea Party. My chapter got accidentally dissolved, but that was probably for the best. I don't speak Southern all that well, so it's better I work with my strengths.
Concerning Hot Country, only Drumbo will know the names of the producers and songwriters I'll be tracking over the decades. This is an educational experience for me.

I’m doing quite well & so good to see you!
Glad you backed away from the FB! LOL
You are in good health & spirits?
Good evening FRiend!
Hey, I now actually know what “Publius” stands for!
I’m taking a course on the Constitution from Hillsdale College and we’ve been hearing many quotes from The Federalist, in which the 3 authors are “Publius”: James Madison, John Jay, and Hamilton, if I remember correctly.
:)
It’s a 10 week course and I just finished this week’s quiz tonight. Week 5.
Our very own Billthedrill and I have written commentaries on the Federalist and Anti-Federalist papers that we’ve turned into a book. We’re trying to get attention from our agent and possible publishers.
I found it, Pinged, and it doesn’t show up.
Off to try again. *sigh*
Glad to hear you’re doin’ well Connie!
I’m doin’ alright too.
Still trying to find ways for me to live “off the grid”. Not easy to do when you’re dependent upon meds... :(
FB has recently become overwhelming for me. I became everyone’s favorite NewsJunkie.
But all the news has been bad. :(
Hard for someone like me to stay current and yet in the right frame of mind as a Christian.
Though, as Christians, we do know who wins in the end don’t we? :)
Right now I’ve got 4995 friends on FB. I need to start pruning the people who don’t subscribe to me daily.
Otherwise their friendship serves no purpose if we’re not discussing current events, etc.
I have missed the Canteen a lot. and esp. lately.
I remember the canteen as leaving your politics at the door and being supportive of the troops and one another here and the great Saturday song fests for the Troops!
Hope this “prodical girl” can inch my way back here in good graces. :)

Afterword and Suggested Reading

Are you friend or foe?! LOL
Just kidding!
Will do my best to wade in here!
Appreciate it!

Hi Everybody!
(((HUGS)))
A man once asked me, What is your biggest problem? I replied, I see my biggest problem every day in the mirror. I am referring to those me first desires that lurk in my heart.
In James 4:1 we read: Where do wars and fights come from among you? Do they not come from your desires for pleasure that war in your members? The words desires for pleasure refer to our self-serving desires. Thats why in James 1:14 we are told: Each one is tempted when he is drawn away by his own desires and enticed. James warns that such me first desires will destroy our friendship with God (4:4) and cause divisions, wars, and fights (vv.1-2).
Therefore, we are told to put off me first thinking. How do we do this? First, Submit to God (4:7). We need to get our ranking rightGod is God and His will must always be first. Second, Draw near to God (v.8). Deal with those desires that lead to sin by going to God for cleansing. Dont be double-minded, desiring both evil and good. But rather desire to please God alone. Third, Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord (v.10). Then He will lift you up.
Remember, me first living is not the key to success. Put God first.
Read: James 4:1-10
