"This ammunition is too 'toxic.'"
"This ammunition is too capable of defeating police body armor."
As for finding ammunition that will be judged to be "just right," don't hold your breath. There is a renewed push underway to compel the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) to ban lead bullets and shotgun pellets. From the New York Times:
Citing risks to birds and to human health, roughly 100 environmental groups formally asked the federal Environmental Protection Agency this week to ban or at least impose limits on lead in the manufacturing of bullets and shotgun pellets for hunting or recreation.
The bans, of course, would not be universal:
The ban sought by environmental groups would not apply to ammunition used by law enforcement and the military.
The lead in government bullets, apparently, is far too well behaved to poison anyone, as private citizens' lead would. That's a good thing, I suppose, given the fact that the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) has just ordered up to 450 million (lead-based) .40 caliber pistol rounds.

Add to that the fact that the cretins pushing this on us lowlies find themselves, as always, exempt from their own rules.
Tells you everything you need to know.
I’m quite sure I have enough ammo, but it may be time to buy more so I can supply others later.
actually, its simpler to remember that the enemy NEVER sleeps, and will NEVER abide by 'live and let live'...
while we attempt to make ends meet, they continually, like little perpetual motion machines, grind away on every issue, from every angle, every day, financed by power peoples money, whose goal is only to take our money, power and FReedom...
sooner or later theyll shop an idea to the right judge or politi-animal and then we have to fight uphill...again...
Everybody needs a CZ-52 and plenty of ammo. Dirt cheap for a fine blaster and enough ammo for anything coming our way. The .30 caliber 90gr hardball at 1,600fps is particulary effective against thick-skinned beasts. The hollowpoints expand to 60 caliber. Get the pistol and ammo now while they are almost being given away.
Sheesh, us (multiple expelatives deleted) shooters are puting LEAD into the ground. How horrible.
(Would someone please tell these people where lead comes from?)
I'm eternally thankful for your input on these threads with respect to the CZ-52. It was after one of your posts four years ago that I went out and purchased mine, along with enough ammuntion to supply a battalion. I dearly love my Czech hand-cannon ... and the low ammunition costs pay for the pistol many times over.

Exactly so! This has been part of their overall strategy since the late 1800's and was first implemented in the U.S. during and by the Teddy Progressive administration.
Brilliant strategy...Carefully implemented...Eminently successful...Irrevocable without our implementation of a few important sentences in the Declaration of Independence!
If they are worried about Birds 100,000 plus Birds Killed by subsidized Wind farms EPA should step in today! Shut em down
"Two is one, and one is none."
:-)
Another advantage of the CZ-52 is it’s roller pin delay system. It was designed so that the pistol could fire very hot SMG ammo that was too hot for a Tokarev. But this also makes the slide very easy to pull back, much easier than other comparable pistols with conventional delay systems. As a result, if carried with an empty chamber, you can pull the slide back like it was a .22 pistol. Folks who have trouble jacking the slide on a typical 9mm, .40 or .45 will have no problem chambering a round with the CZ-52. This becomes an issue for older folks, sometimes.
We could really improve humanity if we just banned CO2 and Lead.

Also fine calibers, but pricey ammo if you don’t reload. For folks on a tight budget who feel they might prefer a LOT of ammo, delivered now, dirt cheap, it’s hard to top 7.62X25. You can buy a CZ-52 pistol and a thousand rounds of ammo for much less than the price of a new “name brand” pistol and no ammo.
Such a deal!
citing risks to birds??
Ban wind turbines?
lol
Yeah, pretty sweet! Do you know of any other good sources selling CZ-52’s?
