After decades as a dominant force in talk radio, Rush Limbaugh could be in for his biggest fight yet. But the threat isn't from activist groups who dislike his conservative politics. It is from one of his own: former Republican governor of Arkansas and onetime presidential candidate, Mike Huckabee.
Starting April 9, Mr. Huckabee, a Fox News Channel commentator, will go head-to-head with Mr. Limbaugh in a syndicated radio program airing in the noon to 3 p.m. Eastern time, weekday slot.

This is a joke....right? If he takes calls, he’ll be swamped by liberal cranks....but it will fill up dead air.

Hey, someone tell Huck, he better keep his day job.

If it’s Carbonite, Huckabee, get the sponsor money up front.
Sleep Train already begging to come back to Rush’s show. Told NO.

There is nothing huckabee could say or do that would have me even tuning in to his show for 5 minutes during rush. When I hear him do that little Rest of the Story Newsblurb I want to disinter Paul Harvey and have him do it.
Huck could dress as Maria and sing West Side Story, he could have his sons torture dogs live, he could juggle sharp instruments, he could announce the return of the messiah, I’m not tuning in.

Ted Baxter (aka Bill OReilly) tried this sometime ago. Remind me how that turned out...
you mean, "Squeaky"....
and the questions, even the Three Stooges...even Larry "Alive" King....wonder about.

I may tune in briefly when Mark Stein is not the host-sub.
To: TonyInOhio
Don’t watch his show cause it bores me to sleep, and won’t listen on the Radio either.

I love wilkow. He just seems genuine and closer to my age. Less commercials too plus he talks guns a lot and doesn’t harp on sports like Rush does

Nah, Huck won’t be a threat. He’s okay in 2 minute TV segments or interviews sometimes, but a 2-3 hour radio show?
Zzzzzzzz......
To: TonyInOhio
What all you nay-sayers don’t realize is that Huckabee is a “natural,” i.e., he is extremely fluent in the English language, and given some good material, he could take some of Rush’s audience away.
In other words, don’t be so damn snug.
To: TonyInOhio
I can not stand to listen to Huckabee if they remove Rush I will just not listen to the radio. He sounds like he has marbles in his mouth when he talks.
