I know the Army has done some work to address these issues, but with multiple deployments, I wonder if we are just asking too much of our soldiers?
The reporters are digging on this NCO’s personal life including his family aka wife and children......
Bastards need to let the UCMJ process work and shut up with endangering his children and wife.

1. No history of this behavior.
2. his own writings and praise from others that he had no animosity towards Afghans, quite the contrary.
3. the repeated insistance by Afghans that were there or near there that there were several perps.
I would not be surprised that he was set up, that the Taliban did this and set him up.
Just sayin’..lets wait and see.
Actually I am glad in a way he is in Ft Leavenworth as this may for now be the safest place for him.
I am a friend of the family and naturally we are simply devastated but everyone should also keep in mind that all the “facts” circulating in the media are NOT facts, and Bob has not even been accused by anyone, let alone the military. Obviously there will be a thorough investigation and even if some facts “sneak” out do not believe them for Gospel.
The “GI snapped meme” is something the media likes and inherently believes but the bottom line is we do not know the facts. In this case, it may actually be true but do not believe the media without a huge grain of salt.

Interesting we don’t hear who the exact accusers are against SSG Bales, and how far in bed they are with the Taliban like Karzi is.

Nothing about this story, as told thus far, adds up. How does this one soldier go off base by himself in the middle of the night, on foot, and commit multiple atrocities undetected?
It was reported that the murders took place in two locations - locations not near each other. It was also reported that there was an attempt to pour a chemical on the bodies to burn the evidence. Somehow, we are to believe that he managed, by himself, to accomplish this without drawing attention to himself --- in hostile territory in Afghanistan(?) - the same Afghanistan where the population explodes in unison at the hint of desecration of a koran.
Not only are we to believe this soldier broke from his long standing honorable character, believe he simply snapped, managing to murder 16 in the middle of the night - and yet walk all the way back to base to calmly confess?
Not a single shot fired by any Afghani at either of the remote murder locations and all the way back to base? Really?
There were early reports of multiple "drunk" soldiers being involved.
Something stinks to high heaven with this case.

This man is child killer and mass murderer. He should have been executed already. He’s an embarassment to this country.

Meantime; Major Hassan - who not only still has his head; but Military pay; including medical care - sits; NOT on 'death row'; nor in a maximum security prison. Rather he 'sits'; we might assume 'comfortably'; in Bell County jail in Belton, Texas. . .
And as we ponder 'Justice' for Captain Bales; and contrasting story lines; we should think as well; of those Islamic Jihadists, who are being given the 'open door' with free passes to 'home'.
It all makes sense; no?
If POTUS is taking credit for offing OBL, shouldn't he be taking credit/sharing the blame for the actions of SSG Bales?

IMHO, another failure by the chain of command. Based on my limited reading of the case, was the SSG fit to serve another tour in Afghanistan?
