I have seen a lot of FReepers state that they would NEVER cast a vote for Romney. That is my gut reaction as well. Mitt is on record saying that I will vote for him eventually. His arrogance makes me want to prove him wrong and write in a candidate. But I fear that will lead to 4 more years of Obama. Until I stare at the ballot in November, I don't know for sure what I will do. If it is a choice between Obama and Romney, what will you do?

“Let’s see:
both are gun grabbers
both are in full support of the homosexual agenda
both are anti-life
both are believers in man made global warming
both are supporters of working with leftest in the admins
both are supporters of government mandated health insurance
both are supporters of big government
both capitulate to islam
Wait what was the question?”

And also the fact that the man is a proven lier. which is why, Obama or no Obama, my family and I will never vote for Mitt Romney. Period.

We are through accepting the Republican establishment’s liberal appointees and having to vote for someone who is no different than a Democrat.

This is a man who wears long underwear because his cult tells him to.

This is a man who believes God was once a sinful man and had to earn his way to heaven. That is blaspheme.

This is a man who believes Jesus is a created being who is Satan's brother. Blaspheme again.

Then there is his political stances for which it is anybody's guess what they really are. He is not pro-life so he will never get my vote. Never.

What is it the dorks do not understand about, NO MORE RINOS? Especially, Romney!

Yep - I don't think I could vote for Mittens. Odds are, he would lose anyway. Sorry to say it, but if the damage Obama has already done isn't enough for us to put a real conservative on the ticket against him, it will take a second term to wake the People up. These days, I'm not confident we will ever energize enough folks to take the Nation back.

You voted for McCain and Dole bc that’s what the GOP wanted???

I can’t speak for you but I will try. You voted for McCain and Dole because you knew they were running against two of the most corrupt, left wing, democrat scum rats this country has ever been subjected to. You made the right decision for yourself and your country, and the GOP can go straight to blazes.

Woe is us that they lost despite your brave vote because we would be infinitely better off with either of the two you voted for versus the crap that won and are still destroying our country.

Please vote for the nominee and against this arrogant idiot leftist in the White House, that is my sincere request and I ask it for my family not for any GOP.

And I will beg you to vote for the nominee if it is Santorum, Gingrich or Romney for the same reasons you tried to keep Clinton and Obama from harming this great country.

Then tell me this, WHEN do conservatives make a stand and stop voting for LOSER rino's? When? People like Romney who can not beat Obama because they are too much like him. I decided after 2006, no more rino's. It is a principled stand I will take.

I think it's high time to wrest control of the establishment in the repub party and and start voting conservative. If the republicans want to be a party of rino's losers let them, but I'm not going to vote for them and more republican now than ever will not go down that road any more!!!

1. If people want to lose themselves in the 35% of the country that never votes, who cares?

2. Some people think elections are all about them. They aren’t. Elections in America are about leaning the country left or right.

3. Some will rest on religious principle. I have no problem with that. Don’t vote, or vote your religious principles.

4. Romney is near the bottom of the R pile as far as I’m concerned. But if you think I’m going to pass up my last chance to vote against Obama, you are mistaken.

It’s very hard to understand the railing against “the GOP” when Santorum just won two states, the map of primaries is multicolored with wins by all 3 top candidates, the trend for Romney at the moment is down.

Why create this phantom “GOP” that is “making” you have a certain nominee. That is just bullcrap. The race is wide open the vote is a free one. The simple fact is that the nominee will have won the race, a race which deliberately was structured to prevent an early winner.

I will support anyone who wants to be against Romney because Romney is not the nominee. When we have a nominee, the people who then want to write in bugs bunny are being made fools of by Barack Hussein Obama.

And while we focus on Romney here, do you know how many women won’t vote for Newt? I mean conservative women. Or how many view Santorum as a loser?

Whoever is the nominee will need our support against BHO.

The difference between Romney and the conservatives Santorum and Gingrich is that Romney has already accomplished every liberal thing that we know Obama wants to accomplish. It’s just that Romney has accomplished it only in Massachusetts so far.

There is no threat or far off possibility of Romney doing these things as it is for Gingrich and Santorum. We know he is capable of doing these things because Romney has already done them.

He’s already instituted his form of Obamacare.
He’s already given people the ability to kill their babies for $50.00
He’s already taken people’s guns away.
He’s already instituted gay marriage.
He’s already set up numerous new taxes calling them fees.
He’s already a full blown socialist and he has done many other things to prove it.

You can say he has the most conservative platform all you want, but we know what he has done, what he has already accomplished. How he’s trashed conservatives day and night and when he wasn’t doing the talking himself, he’s had his minions out there trashing us.

You can fall for his words but we know by his actions, he’s not a conservative. He only plays one while trying to get the nomination.

You are just serving your master and trying to trash all the other real conservatives by lumping them in with Mitt.

I think there is tension between your second and your fourth point. Precisely because Romney is part of the R pile, he has the potential to destroy the Republicans in the way that Obama does not. Having two parties pulling left is worse for America than having one party pulling left and the other pulling right, even if the pulling right is only a contrarian reflex. Romney will pull us left much faster than Obama because he will take the bulk of the GOP with him, and America will be left with no one in the short term to oppose the leftist agenda short of building up a third party—which isn’t realistic, and in the long term, it will become much harder both to re-take the GOP and have the GOP seen as a non-leftist institution. I’ll vote against Obama, but not by voting for Romney. If I’m voting for a Mass. governor, it will be Coolidge.

Yes, it does.

Perfect example of what I mean by being intellectually dishonest. You dislike the idea of voting for Romney so you try to justify it by saying there is no difference.

Can you honestly say that '20% across the board tax cuts' sounds like 'make the rich pay their fair share'?

That 'fewer regulations' sounds like 'more power to the EPA'?

That 'Repeal Obamacare' sounds like 'enforce the mandate and the heck if you don't like it'?

That 'open up more drilling and approve the Keystone pipeline' sounds like 'we don't need the Keystone pipeline and let's invest in renewable energy'?

You can not like Romney all you want to, but even a simpleton can figure out that those phrases illustrated above don't mean the same thing as each other. Geez, I don't want to sit here and defend Romney, but wake up and smell the reality.

As Rush said,,,Obama is a marxist,, Romney isn’t.

I’d much rather have Romney in office than Obama. Romney says he will repeat Obamacare, hopefully he along with congress can do that.

I’ve been to Communist Countries where the populace are starved and aren’t allowed to vote. Not voting for me is just not possible, and I’ll never vote for Obama.

If given a choice of voting for Marx or Lenin, who would you vote for? How about Hitler vs Stalin?

As with R vs O, I wouldn’t vote for either.

I choked while pulling the lever for McCain last time.

I’m done w/that.

Mitch McConnell yesterday just gave Obama 14 of the 17 justices he was looking for on the Federal bench.

Then he tried to spin it as a ‘win’ because he got something so insignificant I can’t remember what it was.

We have those 14 for LIFE. Either McConnell, the leader of the GOP in the Senate, is an idiot, which I don’t think he is, or he gave Obama his 14 because . . .

I can’t think or a reason why.

This isn’t a PHANTOM GOP establishment we are talking about here. This is REAL.

You either go over the cliff at 100 MPH with a liberal in the WH, or go over the cliff at 95 MPH with a ‘moderate’.

Sorry, no dice. I’m not going to get behind ANYBODY but a conservative.

If we can’t win with a conservative, then let the country go to hell and let the D’s take proper credit for it. Franklin always said that this system of government would only serve a moral people. We aren’t anymore.

Next go around, we’ll create a parliamentary system and govern by coalition they way every other representative republic does and quit fooling ourselves into thinking two parties can get it done.
