I have seen a lot of FReepers state that they would NEVER cast a vote for Romney. That is my gut reaction as well. Mitt is on record saying that I will vote for him eventually. His arrogance makes me want to prove him wrong and write in a candidate. But I fear that will lead to 4 more years of Obama. Until I stare at the ballot in November, I don't know for sure what I will do. If it is a choice between Obama and Romney, what will you do?

I really irritates me that the GOPe just simply expects me to vote for Romney as nothing more than a referrendum on Obama. Obama is driving us off the cliff at 200 mph, while a Romney Presidency would get us there at 180 mph... so consequently, I see no discernable difference between the two of them except that Romney is a rich, white, prissy dork who only got this far due to his cash and being propped up by conservative media.
I will be voting on princple this, and Romney is "severely" lacking in that quality. So there is no way in HELL that I will vote for him. I stood by and voted for McCain and for Dole because that's what the GOPe wanted. Well, not this time.

Anyone is better than Obama. If Obama gets another term we haven’t seen anything yet.

I will vote Romney, considering him to be a placeholder.
I think he will make improvements in our economy and in our foreign policy.

I’d take “None of the Above” over Mitt. In fact right now, I’d take NOTA over the field.

I’ll probably vote for him, but I will leave the Republican Party permanently.
Because if McCain and Romney and guys like John Fund are the Republican Party, then clearly I am not.

As much as I dislike Romney, I’m afraid it’s another case of ABO.

They are suffering along side the rest of us by letting Obama win the election by staying home and refusing to vote for McCain.
McCain was only acceptable to me because 1.) He was a war-hero; 2.) He was reliably pro-life; 3.) He was reliably pro-2A.
Mitt Romney isn't any of those things. Worse, he nominated liberals to the bench in MA and gutted the Republican Party in MA.
He is not one of us. After four years of Romney, there will be no political party for conservatives to call home. Republicans won't even pay lip-service to us anymore. ObamaCare will be tweaked and set in stone.
It will be game-set-match for the left. Why do you think creeps like Jimmy Carter like Romney so much? Vote for Romney if you want, but realize what you are voting for before you do so. This isn't just about defeating Obama. If we replace him with a liberal Republican, we have suffered a worse defeat than if Obama gets re-elected.

A vote to sit on your hands is a vote for a communist who's determined to bring down our country Absolutely. I don't know how people can equate the two. When you look at the damage he's done in just three years -- well to quote obama: We ain't seen nothin' yet. I don't want to find out and I certainly don't want my kids to find out.

No, the Nation needs at least two parties. A one party system of communist international elitists precludes the elective process. I won’t play the role of global communism’s beard. Let the Rinos die with the Republic they murdered.

We need to concentrate on Congress.
If it’s Obama, I prefer he be a lame duck president for the next 4 years.

I am waiting for Romney to say he will allow the pipeline from Canada. If he has said he would I didn't hear it. I don't care for him, but if I have no choice I will vote for him over Obama.
Then go home, put Newt's website on my desktop and contact him everyday to try and convince him to run an underground govt.which I will join. Even if Romney wins the presidency, I will only follow Newt.

If Romney gets potentially 8 years the old liver wont last more than two..
To: BO Stinkss
To put it another way, Romney is going to implement half of the DNC’s agenda and claim it as a Republican victory.
We need to be looking toward a long term strategy to take back this country. If the Republicans despise their own base, then the base needs to reconfigure themselves into a new party. Let the Romniac GOP go the way of the Whigs.

I’ve read the near religious proclamations that Romney is this that and the other thing. It is a fact that his platform is a conservative one. IMHO it will be almost impossible for Romney to govern as a liberal with a conservative House and Senate.
It is just as likely that Santorum will approve big spending and pro union measures. That is his record.
It is just as likely Newt will adopt some pie in the sky liberal ideas. That is his record.
I will vote for any of the three IF they get the nomination.

Absolutely not, NEVER. If the GOP forces Romney down our throats, I’m done with the GOP.
I am a Christian first, a Conservative second and a Republican third and the first two PREVENT me from EVER casting a vote for Mitt Romney.
Ain’t gonna happen.

I have to agree with you. Obama cannot serve another term. PERIOD. As soon after the second term would begin, ALL HELL would break out in our land.
I would give Romney the vote just to stall the death of our land.
I DO NOT WANT ROMNEY in but would rather have him than OBAMA.
Not voting for him if it came to that, would mean putting OBAMA in place to put the final nail in our coffin!

A lot of these comments are like a spoiled child. If I can’t win I’m taking my ball home and let the whole lot burn to hell.
Imagine being in battle and one has to perform a mission that is against that person’s belief and knowing if the mission is carried out the battle will be won. I don’t know about the rest of you but I want to win the battle.
We have a President that believes in the teaching of Karl Marx. His administration probably has card carrying communists. We have to win this battle. No one can be worse than what we have.
