Nope...Newts staying in til convention regardless if the GOP thinks they have a hold on it...and I will continue to support him all the way.

It sure is funny that when Newt was in the lead and people were asking Santorum to stand down his supporters wouldnt think of it....understood. Well, it’s equally understandable that I will continue to support Newt thru to the end as well.

Santorum has proved that he can get votes, despite fierce attacks from all directions.

Yes, I think Elmer Fudd could probably beat Obama at this point. But Romney? I think not.

I’d vote for Elmer Fudd any day over Romney. I WILL NOT VOTE FOR HIM.

Newt needs to do a “Rick Perry” and bow out with honor. Perry did himself proud with his exit and subsequent support of Newt. I admire him for that.

Look, There's nothing convincing to me that Santorum has a chance against the Obama machine. .....just like with Romney they haven't said a peep about Santorum but they sure have been fighting to keep Newt out of the loop.

For sure I will not be voting for Romney under any circumstances and I'm almost there concerning Santorum. IMO Newt is the only one that stands a chance of defeating Obam....I don't want another President who has to learn his role and bit off more than he can chew....the nation is too far off the cliff for an amateur to take the wheel. Had enough of Senator's trying to be “King” and Sanatorium has the same ego obama does....he's just been hiding it for the most part.

Newt is the only one that adequately expresses what I want in a candidate. And Newt is the one driving the debate with Obama with regards to energy issues. If Newt had dropped out, would that be as big an issue? Santorum has started to pick that up now, but that is because he is a follower, not a leader.

The timeline of Santorum’s surge is as follows (as I see it): Newt is leading in Iowa. Romney buries Newt in negative ads. As a result, Santorum wins in Iowa. Newt comes back and wins S Carolina, Romney buries Newt in negative ads is Florida. Obama manufactures the contraceptive issue which helps Santorum with evangelicals and Santorum fills in the anti-Romney void created by Newt losing Florida. Santorum gets momentum by winning some caucus states. And here we are. I just don’t like being manipulated. Manipulated by establishment Republicans, maniplulated by the Romney sleaze machine, manipulated by Obama’s fake contraception issue, which helped Santorum. I guess I’m a bitter clinger. Go Newt!

Santorum is apparently the only alternative to Romney.

I still don't believe that come election time, Santorum will be capable of beating Obama.

>>I’d vote for Elmer Fudd any day over Romney. I WILL NOT VOTE FOR HIM.<<

I’ve said the same, but when push comes to shove, although I think Romney will sell us down the river on Obamacare, the 2nd Amendment, cap and trade, environmentalism, and abortion, but so will Obama, and Obama is already in the process of selling the country out from under us. That, Romney wouldn’t do, so, in the end, I’d have to vote for him.

He at least wouldn’t devastate the military, kow-tow to foreign dictators, and keep grinding businesses into the dust, so he’d be preferable to Obama.

"Big Newt fan here. Time to bow out.
I agree, Newt needs to throw his support to Rick and coach him for the debates.

It is clear the Social Conservative base has chosen it's candidate to be the anti-Romney.

It's Santorum vs Romney from here on out. The SoCon base has spoken with some authority and unanimity.

For my philosophy, sadly, Gingrich appears defeated. A baffling reality.

I predict (no, I'm not advocating, though even with this disclaimer I'll still be accused of it) the the Secular Right will now rally around Romney and beat Santorum 2-1 from here on out.

Well, congratulations, Rick.

Congratulations too to Obama, since he will win over either Santorum or Romney. (IMHO, of course. I would be pleased to be wrong about this. But that’s my view of either of those men as our GOP candidate.)

All of the liberal talking heads are telling us that Newt should get out. That tells me that Newt should stay in. Santorum supporters, please keep in mind that if Newt were to get out all the talking heads would immediately start calling for Santorum to get out.
