Yes, the hardcore are lost causes. This primary has been the worst of the worst and all the blames goes to Romney.

I don’t believe to a minute that any of the other candidates would have stooped to his level.

We deserved positive and solution based campaigns from every single one of our candidates and I truly believe, that without Romney, we had a good opportunity of getting precisely that.

Oh I just can’t stand to not give advice...here’s mine to you...I don’t give a darn who you vote for in the primaries...that will work itself out. All I’m asking for is for your vote in the general...against Obama...it doesn’t have to be “for” anyone...It seems that folks here have already made up their mind that they are not going to vote if “their” candidate isn’t the choiee...and that’s wrong. Good night and God Bless.

Could you please specifically point out where I called Santorum’s heart evil?

i wasn’t posting it to you for starters. And I post images because they are flyers I do, and though you might find it hard to believe, some people like them. And I also like pretty things. Maybe because there are so many ugly people in the world.

Listen, Charles, I plan to keep posting my Santorum stuff, I don’t care how much crap you give me. I tried to engage you thoughtfully and honestly once, and I know how that turned out. People are little by little seeing Santorum for who he is, and if my little stuff can help 1 or 2 santorum supporters to see the light, it is worth the grief from people like you...

I don’t know anybody’s heart. I know santorum’s words and actions, they are very knowable.

Your statements, and those of the other poster, are very offensive and belittling to those fellow freepers who support Rick Santorum.

When did calling other freepers idiots, stupid, or ignorant become an acceptable part of Free Republic?

I'm not calling anyone stupid.

” His message seems to be attracting too small a base this time.”

What is most difficult to contend with is that it is hardly Newt’s “message” posing the problem, but rather the power and the inestimable millions out together by his enemies and mine that formed a kill machine against him, and then watching Rickster reap the benefit of that kill machine, by accident, all while attracting no fire because he is no threat to anyone or anything.

Santorum actually thinks his victories were won on his own steam, on his superior message, (borrowed from everyone all along the way, Perry, Newt and even Romney himself) when in truth Rick has always served as stooge to the GOP-E.

He was the beneficiary of the assault on Newt that went totally nuclear, leaving RS a cleared field state after state, as the only anti-Romney left standing outside of Uncle Nutty.

Those FACTS, of the accidental candidate, will take some time to digest. Yes, the rancid taste of his quite ill gotten gains will take some time to swallow.

Newt is the best debater and has some great ideas; albeit, he has had some bad ones, too, and has supported some grossly liberal things (ind. mandates, cap and trade, sat with Pelosi concerning global warming policies, told off all tea partiers, wants to spend money on space exploration, etc.). Santorum has even more liberal items in his past, but he claims he did most of them to “get along” (still, he has stood firm on loving earmarks, which shows some stupidity). However, I can believe him on his ill-followed “get along” policy where I can't for Newt's liberal positions, who should have always had the intestinal fortitude to stand for Reagan since he respected Reagan.

To Rick's credit, his moral example is solid, while Newt can't seem to keep his most solemn promise to currently two of three of his women-it either shows he really cannot be trusted or it shows he can't keep his privates, private-which, I guess, again means he can't be trusted.

Neither of these men is a “Romney”. Sadly, if Romney gets the nomination, we will be voting for him as he lesser evil over Obama.

We can't change the world overnight and we didn't get where we now are in a day. We must continually push back, and if that means in increments, so be it.

Flame away as you see fit. I stand by my words.

Obama’s been faithful to his wookie wife all these years. Why not go vote for Obama if that’s all that matters to you?

He is, literally, being crammed down our throats with every trick in the book.

And not just by the Rove machine. This was a post from May 7, 2012 - ".............As I noted at the close of my six hour election night broadcast last night ........ there is no plausible way either Senator Santorum or Speaker Gingrich can win now, nor is there any way that Governor Romney drops out or fails to be secure the nomination. Math is math. The Parrker analysis confirms what the 30,000 foot look down revealed." Hewitt In the Tank for Mittens

I am in complete agreement with you on all counts. Fidelity - not infidelity - should at the very least count for something. Outright qualification? Not sure I'd go that far.

But it disturbs me that there are some who would disqualify Rick Santorum because he has been faithful. It seems a little backwards.

Now, we need to consider that we are a nation in decline for a reason, and it is because we have forsaken truth and, to borrow from Bill Bennett, defined deviance down. Clinton set a new low bar for us. We certainly have no right to expect the blessings that come with greatness (tangible, everyday blessings of prosperity) if we would turn against God, chaff at His Word, and belittle those who try, however imperfectly, to obey Him.

As to Willard, yeah, well... I'm not supporting him and sure hope you're not either. He represents everything that is wrong with the GOP and is a smooth-talking salesman all about "image" over substance.

“Romney won my county. Too many government workers.”

Think how much more cheerfully they will vote for Obama in November. After all, it was the ONE who gave them so much more. More than the public sector could ever hope for while doing so much more with fewer, or no vacation and leave at all.

Yikes.

LOL. Oh all right, in the general.

Then here’s my advice to the GOP-E and Team Romney.

Drop out! You can’t win in the South!

I won’t vote for Romney if he’s the nominee.

Good night, sweet you and God bless!

God will bless us with victory if we turn to Him, Onyx - you've doubtless heard many times the verse about God healing their land who turn to Him (2 Chr. 7:14). That includes Iran, gas prices, prosperity. God is over all these things.

God can use Newt Gingrich. He can use Rick Santorum. And He can use you and me! Let's support the man He chooses, whoever that is, and pray that it is not Romney.

"Don't tell God how big the storm is. Tell the storm how big your God is!"

It is indeed a happy night of defeat for Romney.

Who in the world disqualifies Santorum because he is faithful? I have never seen that here. What I have seen here is Santorum supporters stating Santorum is a better man because he hasn't committed the sin a adultery and doesn't have any personal baggage, and REFUSING to allow newt gingrich to be the new creature in Christ Jesus that his faith and his repentance and his Savior promise him he can be... and bringing up Newt's baggage every opportunity they get... that is what is twisted and warped. Not santorum's fidelity. You're not serious, are you?

I’ll tell you what it means. We are forgiven by God and the one we wronged, but our stupidity from those sins must follow us. We make the best of it and get on with life.

Hopefully, we don’t goof it up so bad on more than one occasion. Newt did, and since it appears to be part of his character, it is more than reasonable for people to doubt his words now, when he was also professing Christ with the prior two marriages.

I can most definitely vote for Newt, but he has made his own bed on this and his other decisions. It’s a darn shame and we need people with his talents in public office.

I spent a good bit of time actually addressing one of your flyers last night. SOrry if that bothered you, but your take on Santorum's actions in that case were overwrought, as the record shows. If you post that one again, I'll just point people to that thread where the flyer is answered in detail.

Could you please specifically point out where I called Santorum's heart evil

You said, and I quote here: "Santorum is corrupt, and his self-righteousness, and gospel of good works abrogates the saving work of Jesus Christ."

Are you now going to pretend that calling him corrupt, and saying he abrogates the saving work of Christ, is different than calling his heart evil?

The point remains. You hypocritically attacked another freeper claiming that nobody had the right to judge Newt Gingrich, and in the same thread you judged Santorum, calling him corrupt and claiming that he was "abrogating the work of Jesus Christ".

I'm sure you will keep posting your images/flyers. My point is that this forum is set up so that people can quote little pieces of what you say, and respond to them, and your form of posting makes that impossible.

Just as your flyers pretend to provide links, but you can't click on them because they are just images.
