But it disturbs me that there are some who would disqualify Rick Santorum because he has been faithful. It seems a little backwards.

Who in the world disqualifies Santorum because he is faithful? I have never seen that here. What I have seen here is Santorum supporters stating Santorum is a better man because he hasn't committed the sin a adultery and doesn't have any personal baggage, and REFUSING to allow newt gingrich to be the new creature in Christ Jesus that his faith and his repentance and his Savior promise him he can be... and bringing up Newt's baggage every opportunity they get... that is what is twisted and warped. Not santorum's fidelity. You're not serious, are you?

Thank you for that explanation. It all makes more sense now.

I wasn't intending to bring up Newt's baggage at all. Whatever I'd said, however, was interpreted that way and attacked as such - a phenomenon known as "heightened awareness syndrome." Good for Rick if he has been faithful, and shame on his supporters for acting like Pharisees.

Newt or Rick - I frankly don't care as long as it's not Romney. Right now, Rick clearly has the upper hand because of the headlines that will run tomorrow and how that will shape the upcoming primaries. Momentum. If it was Newt, I'd be every bit as sanguine.
