Big mistake. Sarah Palin just knocked that underhanded pitch over the fence. From her Facebook account:
The far Left continues to believe American voters are not smart enough to grasp the diversionary tactics it employs to distract us from the issues our President just doesnt want to talk about issues that affect us all every day and must be addressed.
Exhibit A in these diversionary tactics is an absurd new attack ad President Obama has released taking my comments out of context. Im not running for any office, but Im more than happy to accept the dubious honor of being Barack Obamas enemy of the week if that includes the opportunity to debate him on the issues Americans are actually concerned about. (Remember when I said you dont need a title to make a difference?)
Just off the top of my head, a few of these concerning issues include: a debt crisis that has us hurtling towards a Greek-style collapse, entitlement programs going bankrupt, a credit downgrade for the first time in our history, a government takeover of the health care industry that makes care more expensive and puts a rationing panel of faceless bureaucrats between you and your doctor (aka a death panel), $4 and $5 gas at the pump exacerbated by an anti-drilling agenda that rejects good paying energy sector jobs and makes us more dependent on dangerous foreign regimes, a war in Afghanistan that seems unfocused and unending, a global presidential apology tour thats made us look feeble and ridiculous, a housing market in the tank, the longest streak of high unemployment since World War II, private-sector job creators and industry strangled by burdensome regulations and an out-of-control Obama EPA,

They don’t seem to figure out that all the ranting by people like Maher and others against Limbaugh, Palin, Breitbart etc. only makes their support more solid. Anyone who can be influenced by a $%^&*(*(( like Maher or the like is already in the camp of the insane (otherwise known as the Jackass party). I take little notice of Maher but I detest him so much that if he came out against eating dirt I would almost be tempted to try a dirt sandwich. The fact that such a disgusting pile of filth as Bill Maher is actually paid to appear on TV and spew his vile is all the proof needed that America is skating on thin ice. Paying to see and listen to such is masochism, his greatest fans probably take turns whipping each other.
You folks with PDS crack me up. Remember PDS is a disease people that still support Palin have.
LOL ironically too true.
They had all this and more just in case she did run.If she was running , now the news would be 24/7 all anti-Palin smears , even worse than when she ran for VP.
I'm very disappointed she didn't run and so gave the media and liberals their wish.
She could run and still win. I Hope she runs. If you are reading this Sarah , Run, we need you now!
Why did Obama release the ad then?
You go Ronaldus!
I should go back to the library in a couple of weeks. weird, I ended my day at his grave and was reduced to tears for some reason. beautiful view of the valley and hills.
Maybe it was the effect of seeing the Oval Office, Check Point Charlie, Airforce1, The Tomcat and then the Presidents grave.
I just kept thinking about his dearest, best friend and love crying uncontrollably at his coffin.
I’m going back in April.
That’s a liberal tactic. You made a claim about Mrs. Palin, people asked you to back it up, instead you try to smear the character of fellow FReepers.
When our society’s coillective gorge rises and can no longer be held back there will be a spewing of filth and decay unseen, yes, since the Civil War. That war is coming. It will not be denied.
I don’t disagree with you, I’m just saying I think, for the Left, it has gone beyond her running for office. She doesn’t even have to run to be a threat to the Left, thus the renewed and vigorous attempts to discredit her now. If this helps them to keep her from ever running, so much the better.
I’d LOVE to see Sarah as President. What I have seen recently is how much of a LIFE she, Todd and the kids have in AK. Todd loves everything AK and I think it would be a huge, huge sacrifice for them to move to DC. She still has some young kids, including one with special needs, and after the absolutely vicious media attacks on baby Trig, Bristol, etc. I don’t think she’ll be running until the kids are older. In the meanwhile, she’s building her base and speaking out & driving the Left nuts .... what a woman!
Would it be a sin (spiritual or temporal) to tattoo a cross to your cheek?
My post 51 doesn’t make sense since I posted it to the wrong thread. Sorry.
In a heart beat my friend. At least we would have some really smart people in the W.H. for a change.
So now you are a practicing doctor, too?
Comments from SP and responses from people like you and from the Left showed us clearly why she is not running for the presidential office, but can still be relevant.
“Big mistake. Sarah Palin just knocked that underhanded pitch over the fence.”
With Obama it’s more like t-ball.
Amen!
No, they are the only ones working so that the parasites can keep receiving their "suga' daddy" checks...
Sarah represents what is good, decent, honorable and free about America. His attacks on her are a warning shot to all real Americans.

Spot on!
Post of the day!
Liberals practice the philosophy that he who defines, wins. They're not necessarily wrong on that.
In the current political environment where Republicans don't have a unified leader who most of us stand behind, the Democrats think they can marginalize and ridicule Republicans by treating people like Rush Limbaugh and Sarah Palin as leaders of the conservative movement.
In other words, if they think a moderate like Romney is going to be the nominee, they elevate people they perceive as radical extremists into the national spotlight.
Conservatives work in a world where we support or oppose people based on their policies. What we often don't grasp is that the attacks on Palin and Limbaugh gain their credibility not so much from what Palin and Limbaugh believe but from what they represent, or more to the point, what they don't represent.
There was a day when liberals reveled in their blue-collar origins as “proletarians,” and if they didn't have that type of pedigree they tried to create one by taking blue collar jobs after graduate school. Modern liberalism works in a world where being “tolerant,” living in the affluent suburbs or gentrified downtowns, and being from an upper-middle-class well-educated family are all important parts of being a credible spokesman for virtually any position not only in politics but also in business, academia, or community affairs. Granted, while someone can be from a poor background (i.e., Clinton or Obama), elite Ivy-League education solves that “problem” and gives the added advantage of being able to be a “man of the people” to one audience while being a cultured and well-mannered “insider” with the powerbrokers who count.
I've read Sarah Palin’s autobiography, including her emphasis on love of reading as a child. I think she's a smart woman and the attacks on her lack of elite education and her choice to take extra time to finish her degree by working rather than going deeply into debt to pay for school, say a great deal more about the snobbery of the liberals than about any actual intellectual defects on Palin’s part.
Part of why Newt Gingrich is effective is because even the liberals can't deny that he's a brilliant man and does have advanced academic degrees, even though they're not from the Ivy League. Mitt Romney has both law and business degrees from Harvard; he can't be attacked for being poorly educated. While Rick Santorum has both law and business degrees from lower-level institutions, so far the liberals haven't claimed he's under-educated, just that he's wrong; my guess is that's partly because his father was a psychologist with a doctoral degree and with two graduate degrees it's hart to argue Santorum is stupid.
Sarah Palin simply doesn't have that level of educational achievement. I'm not criticizing her for that, and personally I don't care, but liberals **DO** care, and they think they can portray Palin as a caricature “caribou barbie doll” to discredit Republicans as extremist and uneducated backwoods imbeciles.
Remember, President Obama’s campaign advertisements generally are not aimed at us. They're aimed at swing voters who might be persuaded to vote either way. In their mind, painting the Republican Party as captives to a Sarah Palin ideology of intolerant uneducated extremism is a way to discredit Romney's moderate views.
I think the Democrats have seriously misunderstood Middle America, but if we're going to nominate Romney, we need to recognize that the Democrats won't accept that Romney is a moderate but rather will try to paint him as a flip-flopper who personally believes nothing and has moved far to the right to placate a radicalized Republican Party filled with Palins and Limbaughs.
The sad thing is that tactic by Democrats — painting Republicans as conservative extremists — may actually be more effective at getting votes for Republicans than the foolish mistakes being made by Republican elitists who seem to think they need to act “moderate” to get elected.
