Efforts to silence Rush Limbaugh are apparently having a significant impact on the talk radio business as a whole, including syndicated radio shows hosted by Sean Hannity, Mark Levin and Glenn Beck.
After provocative comments made about a female Georgetown law school student, Limbaugh's show has been targeted by liberal groups that have pressured more than two dozen advertisers to drop his program from their ad buys.
Now, Rush's syndicator, Premiere Networks, is losing advertisers for other conservative programs it airs.
According to an internal Premiere memorandum obtained by Radio-Info.com, the company says 98 advertisers no longer wanted to air ad spots on any "offensive or controversial" talk programs.
Radio-Info says the list of advertisers include "carmakers (Ford, GM, Toyota), insurance companies (Allstate, Geico, Prudential, State Farm) and restaurants (McDonalds, Subway)."

Keep posting as the names come up. We can speak loudly with our pocketbooks.
we need a list of democrat corporation, so to know where not to shop
Anyone have a copy of this list?
“””””No one from the U.S. government has attemped to stop Rush from speaking his mind. He can talk about anything he wants.”””””
Incorrect. Carl Levin wants him off the military band and some doosh democrat Rep has a petition going to get rid of him.
There are more conservatives than liberals in this country. So lets just play tit for tat and boycott their shyt and see who survives. You have to play hardball with these goons. Its the only thing they understand.
If this is about women, I am not sure why 2 1/2 men has a single sponsor.
Meh, I listen to talk radio about as much as I watch “news entertinament” ... pretty much never.
Advertisers will buy space wherever there is an audience.
IF were sliding back into a recession
You can’t slide back in to something you never left.
This isn’t necessarily a new thing. A lot of large companies have always had this policy. They don’t want to get political.
I strongly suggest you go to Rush’s website. You could not be more wrong in your statement. As a matter of fact, Sleep Train begged to come back. Carbonite lost 12% of it’s stock after dropping Rush. I don’t think this is as much of an issue as those on the left are hoping for.
Some of the things they advertise on those shows amount to ways to pay money for stuff which is basically free. For instance Go-To-Meeting (and Microsoft Live-Meeting for that matter) are commercial versions of older (and free) technology called VNC (RealVNC, TightVNC etc)...
Media Matters is doing this. So much for the First Amendment.
mcdonalds, after all Mark ate there, F them. Burger King is better.
Read Rush’s “inside baseball” explanation if anyone still thinks he’s “losing advertisers”. Radio time is fungible, there are others who will snap it up in a heartbeat, and if anything I expect Premier/CC will show record profits as the result of all this.
Haven’t we learned by now that a) you can’t believe anything the left says and b) when they say something, nearly always the opposite is the truth?
Audio??

In the talk radio world that has already been fought and won. Now they are trying to kill conservative talk radio by cutting off the funding.
We should be mounting the same sort of attack on PBS/MSNBC/CNN and the such.
I canceled my HBO.. They where blown away when I called since I was on the free 3 month free promo.
Just said I don’t want what they peddle in my house.
LOL - great comment - we should all be so lucky in life. And what's the deal with some of the major ones wanting to come back because they've lost so much business? That should be included.
