Fresh off his convincing Super Tuesday win in his home state of Georgia, presidential candidate Newt Gingrich might be about to score another comeback, with two new polls out Friday showing the former House speaker with slight leads in both Alabama and Mississippi.
A Rasmussen Reports poll of 750 likely Republican primary voters shows Gingrich ahead with 30 percent support, followed closely by Rick Santorum at 29 percent, and Mitt Romney with 28 percent.
Ron Paul got just 7 percent, while 6 percent were undecided.
In Mississippi, a poll by American Research Group Inc. finds Gingrich in the lead with 35 percent. Romney is in second place with 31 percent, while Santorum has 20 percent and Paul has 7 percent....

Me and my bride will be voting for Newt on Tuesday.
Both polls are well within “margin of error” territory. So it’s probably still too close to call in both states.
I did not say anything about deep southern states. Please read my post again.
I’d rather have a brilliant, experienced warrior than a sweater vest fighting for me. And we ARE in for a fight.
By the same token, once Rick tops 100 delegates, he'll be a juggernaut.
But Newt doesn’t wear sweater vests.
enthusing people about math and science is not a federal case IMO
How short sighted of you. You should vote for the man who can and has done his part in leading America into greatest.
The Reagan choice - NEWT!!
Rick isn’t that man and, of course, Mitt isn’t either. Say no to the GOP E candidates.
WHO CAN BEAT BARRY with only using half his brain - NEWT! His whole brain would crush him to bits.
The 'warm and fuzzy' voters aren't into KNOWLEDGE and EXPERIENCE - they are into have their ears tickled and warmed.
A sweater vest, of course! It's working, it's a great cover!
Santorum better stop his lying. Time is designed to give you what you sowed, more than you sowed.
Deceiving voters for his own gain while he’s ‘taking one for the team’ is his mo. He hasn’t learned and will keep going around the mountain till he does. America isn’t important to him as his own self.
And who created the winner before hand. The GOP E and media.
And how many polls have we seen to push their winner to 'prove' their point. They didn't proved anything other than voters respond to polls!!! As much as we should ignore the propaganda - voters STILL respond to it.
More than anything else, I want to see Romney finish third place in both Alabama and Mississippi. If Newt wins either or both of those states in the process, I’m OK with it.
now compare that map side by side with a map of the mormon population of America and you will clearly see why Mitt has won most of the places he has.
I’m with you but I’d like to see Mitt in 4th place since he shouldn’t even be in the R race.
“I’d like to see Mitt in 4th place...”
I’d like to see Mitt with a punched ticket for Kolob!
But he wants more and that is to deceive voters because 'he can' with the media behind him. Dumb media driven voters.
No but it's a nice side effect of a good and IMO vital national security strategy, and national security is a necessary and constitutionally required federal case (except for 0).
China has enough money to go to the moon and build a base there--talk about taking the high ground!!!
If you think China will never stick it to us, that won't matter to you--until they do it.
Sitting here in Florida and watching the approach of the Alabama primary on Tuesday, I brushed aside my usual reticence about sending political emails and wrote and sent the following to friends and family in Alabama.
(For privacy purposes, I blind cc’d the list and just put my email address on the To line, so no one would see exactly who I was sending to).
Anyone with friends in upcoming states — feel free to use any or all of this to send to your friends.
This is a brief message from the heart in my own words about the important primary election in Alabama on Tuesday.
PLEASE NOTE: I usually dont send emails related to politics, but this time around, I feel compelled to contact you by email and ask you to consider voting for NEWT GINGRICH in this Tuesdays Alabama Republican primary.
Although there are several good folks in the race, and although Rick Santorum in particular seems to be well-aligned with many of my beliefs and principles, I believe that Newt is better prepared to be the leader we need to shake things up in Washington.
Newt is an idea man, a deep thinker, a historian, a military strategist (hes been teaching leaders in our military for many years), a Southerner at heart, and a man who knows how to get things done in Washington.
For those who are still weighing the candidates (and those who may have already made up your minds), please take a few minutes to watch this message from Newt about energy independence. It runs close to 30 minutes, but even watching it for just a few minutes, I think youll see what Im talking about related to bold leadership that we desperately need.

And please feel free to send this to any of your friends and family who havent voted in a primary yet and encourage them to get out and vote for Newt.
My apologies for invading your email inbox with a political message but as I said, I believe this years presidential election is just too important for me to keep silent.
(Over 2/3 of the delegates in the Republican race are still to be selected so in spite of what you may have heard from the major liberal media and Republican establishment voices who want the status quo to continue, a vote for Newt is valuable at this point and can help shape the future of the country we all love.
Thanks for listening to my ramblings since I live in Florida and have already voted, Im asking you who have not yet voted to take a bold step, along with Sarah Palin (who voted for Newt in Alaska), Fred Thompson, J. C. Watts, Herman Cain, Gov. Rick Perry, Michael Reagan, Gov. Fob James (who just endorsed Newt), and many many more who believe Newt is the best national leader for the next four years.
Hopefully (still) your friend,
I am going to ccp it and mail it to my friends. Sincere thanks for allowing me to use this
