And you thought Rush Limbaugh's remarks were mean.
Syndicated conservative cartoonist Gary McCoy is receiving some nasty feedback as well as some positive reviews for a new cartoon he penned showing an unflattering and obese version of Sandra Fluke, the Georgetown Law School student at the center of the birth control debate.
The cartoon shows the Fluke character holding a Pro Choice sign and yelling "STAY OUT OF MY UTERUS GOVERNMENT" in one slide. In the next slide, she says "After paying for my birth control"
while writing "For a good time call
" on a men's bathroom door.
The cartoon echoes Limbaugh's misleading claims that Fluke was asking for taxpayers to pony up money for her to have a lot of sex.
With advertisers fleeing and even Republican presidential candidates not supporting what many see as outlandish statements, McCoy is one of the few semi-public figures to enter the crossfire with Limbaugh.
Readers on the Townhall.com, where the cartoon was posted, had mixed reactions about the cartoon.
"Vulgar and yet so true!," one woman wrote.

The cartoon shows the Fluke character... That's NOT a Fluke like character...
She's totally different. Is the cartoonist implying 'fluke like' means a liberal elite professional-student who possibly lived off Daddy for 13 years of college (or maybe the taxpayers paid for that too!)- and now wants her fellow citizens to 'chip in' to pay for HER idea of what she needs for HER concept of 'health'? That being one of the reasons the "not fluke character" in the cartoon looks old and haggard...
Me?
I feel all conservatives should have backyard pools to exercise in...

You mean there is only one Georgetown co-ed who is pro-choice and has dark hair? Ms. Fluke is not chunky like the character in the cartoon. I’m just saying that the writer is making a leap. It *could* be her, but I don’t see that it’s clear it is. It could also be simply a representation of all the women Ms. Fluke was speaking for who want free birth control.

I think we were crystal clear on what they meant. And you do sound like the Grammar Police.
Yeah, well, I also understand what today's youth are saying when they send e-mails or text messages with no capital letters, no periods between sentences, atrocious spelling and grammar.... but, hell, no big deal. We're going to hell in a hand basket Economically we may as well be the most ignorant nation on earth as well. Our High School kids already rank 39th in Math globally. So, what the hell? Who gives a rat's ass. We're ignorant and proud of it; by damn.
Just for the record: I'd bet that you're one of those people who never helped your kids with their homework; huh? Just sayin

Lots of sex? with lots of men?
Rush set the poor tone in his mistreatment of her and that allowed the Dems to pull a Houdini on Obama's costly blunder of trying to force contraceptions on Catholic institutions.
It'd be nice if we could get back the moral high ground we occupied before Rush stepped in it.

The cartoon makes totally unwarranted assumptions about her sexual proclivities.

Make mine free ammo. Now that I think of it, the Gov used to do that 40 years ago or so.

Oh grow up!
It's a political forum for the exchange of ideas. I'm not interested if somebody misspells something. I hardly think the posts on this forum compare to today's youth's cell phone text messages. A bit of a stretch don't you think? I simply find Grammar Police to be annoying.
BTW, I have no children.
