ROMNEY CAMPAIGN DRAGGED DOWN BY BIG BOATLOAD OF DELEGATESRead More »
March 7, 2012
Mitt Romney won more than twice as many delegates on Super Tuesday
as Newt Gingrich or Rick Santorum. The Non-Fox Media's take-away is that
Romney suffered a major setback Tuesday night.
No matter what happens, Barack Obama's boosters in the NFM
portray it as a debilitating blow to Romney. On Nov. 7, The New York
Times' headline will be: "Romney ekes out narrow electoral victory,
leaving race uncertain."
To explain the widening gulf in delegates won by Romney
compared to the others -- he now has more delegates than all other
candidates combined -- the media claim that a vote for any candidate
other than Romney is an explicit vote against Romney.
Of course, even the NFM can't pretend Ron Paul's supporters
would pick Gingrich or Santorum, both big-government, career
politicians, as their second choice.
But in what universe would the second choice of Santorum
supporters be a two-time adulterer on his third marriage, who lobbied
George W. Bush to support embryonic stem cell research?
And are we to presume that voters who have no problem with
Gingrich's $1.6 million payoff from Freddie Mac would be morally
offended by Romney's hard-earned wealth? That voters willing to forgive a
man who called Paul Ryan's Social Security reform plan "right-wing
social engineering" could never trust Romney?
Why isn't it possible that votes for Santorum are votes against Gingrich, and vice versa?
The NFM doesn't explain. Reporting their hopes and dreams
rather than the facts, they simply assert that all votes for Santorum or
Gingrich are "anti-Romney" votes.
It's not Republicans who are looking for the anti-Romney. It's Democrats.
Obama is already spending millions of dollars on anti-Romney
ads. Obama's campaign adviser David Axelrod, is desperately tweeting
anti-Romney messages all day long. In open primaries in Michigan and
Ohio, Obama's Democratic supporters came out to vote for Santorum or
Gingrich. MSNBC hosts openly encourage Democrats to vote for Rick
Santorum.
Reagan beat the odds and took out an incumbent by waging a charm campaign to win over independents, moderates and undecideds.

Well, thanks for bumping the thread to latest posts so others will see it.
Ann, you've become delusional. It's time to go somewhere and rest.
The popular vote of Rick + Newt now equals 3,784,760 compared to Romneys 3,194,834. You can toss in another 900,099 for Ron Paul. Romney’s got a little over a third of the popular vote. So, yeah, Ann, it is conservatives who are looking for a non-Romney.

FLASHBACK:
The McCain/Palin ticket was up ++4 to 10 pts
in some polls, days prior to Election 2008.
So rather than helping the GOP, Romney and
TeamROMNEY and the RNME (Republican National Media Establishment)
decided
to attack Gov. Palin to throw Election2008.

The Palmetto Scoop reported: "One of the first stories to hit the national airwaves was
the claim of a major internal strife between close McCain aides and the folks handling his running mate Sarah Palin."
"Im told by very good sources that this was indeed the case and that a rift had developed, but it was between Palins people and the staffers brought on from the failed presidential campaign of former Gov. Mitt Romney, not McCain aides."
"The sources said nearly 80 percent of Romneys former staff was absorbed by McCain and these individuals were responsible for what amounts to a premeditated, last-minute sabotage of Palin."
aides loyal to Romney inside the McCain campaign, said The Scoop, reportedly saw
that Palin would be a serious contender for the Republican nomination in 2012 or 2016, which made her a threat to another presidential quest by Romney.
"These staffers are now out trying to finish her off .hoping it would ingratiate themselves with Mitt Romney."
"Peeking Out From the McCain Wreckage: Mitt Romney"
"Someone's got to say it: IS MITT ROMNEY RESPONSIBLE FOR OBAMA'S VICTORY?"

"Romney advisors sniping at Palin?"
Thanks for the stats, JediJ
Gotta love ‘em.
The Romney people are always using faulty math to fool themselves. Can’t fool us.
Well, I sat next to Ann once. She’s beautiful, but I think she should stay in Alaska.
Great post, thanks!
Romney, McCain and the GOP sycophants didn’t want a republican to win in 2008 as “Mint” (I’m gonna buy the election this time) Romney got Huckabeed.

AH yes Ann...
that’s the idea...
...I’m just curious, if Romney’s greatest quality is his broad appeal, why hasn’t he sewn this up yet?
The older I get the more I realize that the Reagan Administration was an anomaly and not the norm in Republican Politics.
Great research. With all the money Romney has spent, about the only thing he’s gotten out of it is a bunch of pissed off
Gingrich and Santorum voters. The same voters he will HAVE to have if he has any chance of beating Zero.
You are absolutely right. Reagan winning the nomination was an exception to the rule that the establishment candidate must win.
However, I think he did benefit from the “next in line” rule. But he still had to fight off the establishment.
To be nominated as a Republican, one must be either the “establishment guy”, or be the person whose turn it is.
Bob Dole was both the establishment guy and next in line. Ditto George W. Bush.
John McCain was not the establishment guy in 2008 (Rudy Giuliani was), but he was next in line.
In 2012, Romney is both. It is difficult for an insurgent candidate to win the GOP nomination. Goldwater is probably the last to do in 1964, when he beat the establishment candidate, Rockefeller.
Reagan came close as an insurgent in ‘76 against a sitting President.
The 1980 election was unique in many way. I fear that Americans are too stupid today to realize just how bad things are.
The conservative traitor and Liar Ann Coulter just can’t help herself and keeps making statements that make her look like a clown.
Is Ann on medication? She really hasn't thought very clearly in months.
Bless her heart. Hope she'll be better soon. (do I need to add: /sarc?)
